Chapter 51 — Shri Guru's Journey unto Bliss; Disciples Get Flower-Gift
Literal. Shri Guru announces to Ganagapur: I shall go to Shri Shailya. The disciples are saddened. He says: I shall stay secretly. I shall come to the Math at midday and accept nirguna puja. He starts toward Shri Shailya. People accompany him for a distance, return, and find him at the Math. He disappears. He goes to Patal Ganga at the base of Shri Shailya, where his disciples prepare a flower-seat (Shevanti, lotus, malati, kanher on a Kardali leaf), placed in the river. On Magh Vad 1st, on Friday, when Guru (Jupiter) was in Kanya (Virgo), at evening time, before going he says: I am going to the place of self-bliss. I shall send flowers as gifts. He sits on the flower-seat and disappears. Boatmen later see him on the other side of the river holding a stick, golden sandals, going to Kardali-Van; he says: I am still at Ganagapur; I am sending flowers. Four flowers come downstream; Sayamdev, Nandi, Narhari, and Siddhamuni each take one; the fourth is Namdharak's.
Symbolic. Mahasamadhi as scheduled departure with explicit continuation guarantee. The Guru does not vanish absolutely; he splits — physically going to Kardali-Van, while still maintaining presence at Ganagapur. The four flowers, distributed to four named devotees, are the seed-tokens by which the lineage continues.
Structural. Magh Vad 1st, Friday, Guru in Kanya, evening — fully specified date-time stamp. Four flowers to four named devotees. Kardali-Van as the destination.
