Sanskrit ślōka (BG-10.32-33): सर्गाणामादिरन्तश्च मध्यं चैवाहमर्जुन । अध्यात्मविद्या विद्यानां वादः प्रवदतामहम् ॥३२॥ अक्षराणामकारोऽस्मि द्वन्द्वः सामासिकस्य च । अहमेवाक्षयः कालो धाताहं विश्वतोमुखः ॥३३॥
"Of-the-sargas (creations) the beginning + end + middle — that am I, O Arjuna ॥32a॥. Among the vidyās I am the adhyātma-vidyā; among debaters I am the vāda (the truth-seeking-dialectical-debate) ॥32b॥. Among letters I am the a-kāra (the letter A); among compounds I am the dvandva (the co-ordinative-equal-members compound) ॥33a॥. I-alone am the imperishable Kāla (Time, the cosmic-grasiter); I am the Dhātā (re-creator) viśvato-mukha (all-facing) ॥33b॥."
