Translation
UPWARD GO (ūrdhvam gacchanti) the SATTVA-DWELLING (sattva-sthāḥ) — IN THE MIDDLE STAY (madhye tiṣṭhanti) the RAJAS-ONES (rājasāḥ) — those-STUCK-IN-THE-MOST-DEBASED-GUṆA-MODE-FUNCTIONING (jaghanya-guṇa-vṛtti-sthāḥ) the TAMAS-ONES (tāmasāḥ) DOWNWARD GO (adho gacchanti).
