Māyā's blow leaves no visible wound but locks the voice and blocks rescue.
The verse
मायेचा मारिला अंगीं नाहीं घाव । दुःखें तरी लव धडधडी ॥१॥
न लभे हा काळ न सुटे हातींचा । न बोलवे वाचा खोडावली ॥ध्रु.॥
न पवे धांवणें न पवे चि लाग । न चलती माग धरावया ॥२॥
भेणें तरि अंगा लावियेल्या राखा । परी त्यासी वाखा करीतसे ॥३॥
तुका म्हणे नेदी हाका मारूं देवा । लोकापाठी हेवा लागलासे ॥४॥
Literal translation
Māyā struck — on body no wound — but duḥkha makes the trembling-flutter. Kāḷa not caught — doesn't leave from-hand; vāchā can't speak, locked. Running doesn't reach; the catch doesn't reach; no trail to hold. In-fear, smeared ashes on body — but (māyā) mocks it. Tukā says: (māyā) doesn't let me shout to Deva — envy has followed (the) people.
