पिंडाचें पाहिलें कौतुक । शोधिला आत्मानात्मा विवेक ।
पिंड अनात्मा आत्मा येक । सकळ कर्ता
pimḍācem pāhilem kautuka | śodhilā ātmānātmā viveka |
pimḍa anātmā ātmā yeka | sakaḷa kartā
The delight of piṇḍa was seen; ātma-anātma-vivek was searched. / Piṇḍa is anātman, Ātman is one — doer of all.
आत्म्यास अनन्यता बोलिली । ते विवेकें प्रत्यया आली ।
आतां पाहिजे समजली । ब्रह्मांडरचना
ātmyāsa ananyatā bolilī | te vivekem pratyayā ālī |
ātām pāhije samajalī | brahmāmḍaracanā
The ananyatā of Ātman was spoken; it came to pratyaya by vivek. / Now must be understood — the brahmāṇḍa-rachanā.
आत्मानात्माविवेक पिंडी । सारासारविचार ब्रह्मांडी।
विवरविवरों हे गोडी । घेतली पाहिजे
ātmānātmāviveka pimḍī | sārāsāravicāra brahmāmḍī |
vivaravivarom he goḍī | ghetalī pāhije
Ātma-anātma-vivek in piṇḍa; sāra-asāra-vicāra in brahmāṇḍa. / Examine-and-examine this sweetness — should be taken.
पिंड कार्य ब्रह्मांड कारण । याचें करावें विवरण ।
हेंचि पुढें निरूपण । बोलिलें असे
pimḍa kārya brahmāmḍa kāraṇa | yācem karāvem vivaraṇa |
hemci puḍhem nirūpaṇa | bolilem ase
Piṇḍa is effect, brahmāṇḍa is cause; examine this. / That very ahead nirūpaṇa — has been spoken.
असार म्हणिजे नासिवंत । सार म्हणिजे तें शाश्वत ।
जयास होईल कल्पांत । तें सार नव्हे
asāra mhaṇije nāsivamta | sāra mhaṇije tem śāśvata |
jayāsa hoīla kalpāmta | tem sāra navhe
Asāra means the perishable; sāra means the eternal. / For what kalpānta will come — is not sāra.
पृथ्वी जळापासून जाली । पुढें ते जळीं मिळाली ।
जळाची उत्पत्ति वाढली । तेजापासुनी
pṛthvī jaḷāpāsūna jālī | puḍhem te jaḷīm miḷālī |
jaḷācī utpatti vāḍhalī | tejāpāsunī
Earth arose from water; ahead it merged in water. / Water's origin grew — from fire.
ते जळ तेजें शोषिलें । महत्तेजें आटोन गेलें ।
पुढें तेजचि उरलें । सावकाश
te jaḷa tejem śoṣilem | mahattejem āṭona gelem |
puḍhem tejaci uralem | sāvakāśa
That water was absorbed by fire; by great fire it dried up. / Ahead only fire remained — leisurely.
तेज जालें वायोपासुनी । वायो झडपी तयालागुनी ।
तेज जाउनी दाटणी । वायोचीच जाली
teja jālem vāyopāsunī | vāyo jhaḍapī tayālāgunī |
teja jāunī dāṭaṇī | vāyocīca jālī
Fire arose from wind; wind snatched it up. / Fire gone, the packing — became of wind.
वायो गगनापासुनी जाला । मागुतां तेथेंचि विराला ।
ऐसा हा कल्पांत बोलिला । वेदांतशास्त्रीं
vāyo gaganāpāsunī jālā | māgutām tethemci virālā |
aisā hā kalpāmta bolilā | vedāmtaśāstrīm
Wind arose from sky; back again merged there. / Such is the kalpānta spoken — in Vedānta-śāstra.
गुणमाया मूळमाया । परब्रह्मीं पावती लया ।
तें परब्रह्म विवराया । विवेक पाहिजे
guṇamāyā mūḷamāyā | parabrahmīm pāvatī layā |
tem parabrahma vivarāyā | viveka pāhije
Guṇa-māyā, mūla-māyā — merge into para-brahma. / To examine that para-brahma — vivek is needed.
सर्व उपाधींचा सेवट । तेथें नाहीं दृश्य खटपट ।
निर्गुण ब्रह्म घनदाट । सकळां ठाईं
sarva upādhīmcā sevaṭa | tethem nāhīm dṛśya khaṭapaṭa |
nirguṇa brahma ghanadāṭa | sakaḷām ṭhāīm
The end of all upādhi; there no dṛśya-bustle. / Nirguṇa Brahma, dense — in every place.
उदंड कल्पांत जाला । तरी नाश नाहीं तयाला ।
मायात्यागें शाश्वताला । वोळखावें
udamḍa kalpāmta jālā | tarī nāśa nāhīm tayālā |
māyātyāgem śāśvatālā | voḷakhāvem
Abundant kalpāntas occurred; yet no destruction of it. / By māyā-renunciation, the eternal — should be recognized.
देव अंतरात्मा सगुण । सगुणें पाविजे निर्गुण ।
निर्गुणज्ञानें विज्ञान । होत असे
deva amtarātmā saguṇa | saguṇem pāvije nirguṇa |
nirguṇajñānem vijñāna | hota ase
Deva, Antarātmā, saguṇa; by saguṇa, attain nirguṇa. / By nirguṇa-jñāna, vijñāna — is happening.
कल्पनेतीत जें निर्मळ । तेथें नाहीं मायामळ ।
मिथ्यत्वें दृश्य सकळ । होत जातें
kalpanetīta jem nirmaḷa | tethem nāhīm māyāmaḷa |
mithyatvem dṛśya sakaḷa | hota jātem
Beyond kalpanā is nirmala; there no māyā-mala. / All dṛśya in mithyā-ness — continues to happen.
जें होते आणि सवेंचि जातें । तें तें प्रत्ययास येतें ।
जेथें होणें जाणें नाहीं तें । विवेकें वोळखावे
jem hote āṇi savemci jātem | tem tem pratyayāsa yetem |
jethem hoṇem jāṇem nāhīm tem | vivekem voḷakhāve
What happens and immediately goes — that comes to pratyaya. / Where coming-going does not exist — should be recognized by vivek.
येक ज्ञान येक अज्ञान । येक जाणावें विपरीत ज्ञान ।
हे त्रिपुटी होये क्षीण । तेंचि विज्ञान
yeka jñāna yeka ajñāna | yeka jāṇāvem viparīta jñāna |
he tripuṭī hoye kṣīṇa | temci vijñāna
One jñāna, one ajñāna; know one as viparīta-jñāna. / This triad becomes diminished — that itself is vijñāna.
वेदांत सिधांत धादांत । याची पाहावी प्रचित ।
निर्विकार सदोदित । जेथें तेथें
vedāmta sidhāmta dhādāmta | yācī pāhāvī pracita |
nirvikāra sadodita | jethem tethem
Vedānta, siddhānta, dhādānta — their pratīti should be seen. / Nirvikāra, ever-shining — in every place.
तें ज्ञानदृष्टीनें पाहावें । पाहोन अनन्य राहावें
मुख्य आत्मनिवेदन जाणावें । याचें नांव
tem jñānadṛṣṭīnem pāhāvem | pāhona ananya rāhāvem
mukhya ātmanivedana jāṇāvem | yācem nāmva
That should be seen with jñāna-vision; having seen, remain ananya. / The chief ātma-nivedana — know as this.
दृश्यास दिसते दृश्य । मनास भासतो भास ।
दृश्यभासातीत अविनाश । परब्रह्म तें
dṛśyāsa disate dṛśya | manāsa bhāsato bhāsa |
dṛśyabhāsātīta avināśa | parabrahma tem
To the dṛśya, dṛśya appears; to mind, appearance appears. / Beyond dṛśya-appearance is avināśa — that para-brahma.
पाहों जातां दुरीच्या दुरी । परब्रह्म सबाहेअंतरीं ।
अंतचि नाहीं अनंत सरी । कोणास द्यावी
pāhom jātām durīcyā durī | parabrahma sabāheamtarīm |
amtaci nāhīm anamta sarī | koṇāsa dyāvī
On looking, far-and-beyond; para-brahma, inside-and-out. / No end, ananta — whom to compare?
चंचळ तें स्थिरावेना । निश्चळ तें कदापी चळेना ।
आभाळ येतें जातें गगना । चळण नाहीं
camcaḷa tem sthirāvenā | niścaḷa tem kadāpī caḷenā |
ābhāḷa yetem jātem gaganā | caḷaṇa nāhīm
The cañcala does not stabilize; the niścala never moves. / Cloud comes-and-goes — sky — has no motion.
जें विकारें वाढें मोडे । तेथें शाश्वतता कैंची घडे ।
कल्पांत होताच विघडे । सकळ कांहीं
jem vikārem vāḍhem moḍe | tethem śāśvatatā kaimcī ghaḍe |
kalpāmta hotāca vighaḍe | sakaḷa kāmhīm
What by vikāra grows-and-breaks — how does eternality occur there? / At kalpānta it dissolves — everything.
जे अंतरींच भ्रमलें । मायासंभ्रमें संभ्रमलें ।
तयास हें कैसें उकले । आव्हाट चक्र
je amtarīmca bhramalem | māyāsambhramem sambhramalem |
tayāsa hem kaisem ukale | āvhāṭa cakra
Those whose interior is deluded; delusion-dumbfounded by māyā-confusion; / for him how does this unlock — the obstruction-wheel?
भिडेनें वेव्हार निवडेना । भिडेनें सिधांत कळेना ।
भिडेनें देव आकळेना । आंतर्यामीं
bhiḍenem vevhāra nivaḍenā | bhiḍenem sidhāmta kaḷenā |
bhiḍenem deva ākaḷenā | āmtaryāmīm
By pressure, business is not distinguished; by pressure, siddhānta is not known; / by pressure, Deva is not grasped — within.
वैद्याची प्रचित येईना । आणी भीडहि उलंघेना ।
तरी मग रोगी वांचेना । ऐसें जाणावें
vaidyācī pracita yeīnā | āṇī bhīḍahi ulamghenā |
tarī maga rogī vāmcenā | aisem jāṇāvem
A physician's pratīti does not come; and pressure is not overcome; / then the patient does not live — so know.
जेणें राजा वोळखिला । तो राव म्हणेना भलत्याला ।
जेणें देव वोळखिला । तो देवरूपी
jeṇem rājā voḷakhilā | to rāva mhaṇenā bhalatyālā |
jeṇem deva voḷakhilā | to devarūpī
He who recognized the king — does not call anyone a rāja; / he who recognized Deva — he is deva-form.
जयास माईकाची भीड । तें काये बोलेल द्वाड ।
विचार पाहातां उघड । सकळ कांहीं
jayāsa māīkācī bhīḍa | tem kāye bolela dvāḍa |
vicāra pāhātām ughaḍa | sakaḷa kāmhīm
For whom there is māyika pressure — what will he speak, dull one? / On examining, everything is open.
भीड मायेऐलिकडे । परब्रह्म तें पैलीकडे ।
पैलीकडे ऐलीकडे । सदोदित
bhīḍa māyeailikaḍe | parabrahma tem pailīkaḍe |
pailīkaḍe ailīkaḍe | sadodita
Pressure is on this side of māyā; para-brahma is on that side. / This side, that side — ever-shining.
लटिक्याची भीड धरणें । भ्रमें भलतेंचि करणें ।
ऐसी नव्हेंतीलक्षणें । विवेकाचीं
laṭikyācī bhīḍa dharaṇem | bhramem bhalatemci karaṇem |
aisī navhemtīlakṣaṇem | vivekācīm
Holding pressure of the false; by bhrama, doing anything — / these are not marks — of vivek.
खोटें आवघेंचि सांडावें । खरें प्रत्ययें वोळखावें ।
मायात्यागें समजावें । परब्रह्म
khoṭem āvaghemci sāmḍāvem | kharem pratyayem voḷakhāvem |
māyātyāgem samajāvem | parabrahma
All false should be abandoned; the true should be recognized by pratyaya. / By māyā-renunciation, one should understand — para-brahma.
तें मायेचें जें लक्षण । तेंचि पुढें निरूपण ।
सुचितपणें विवरण । केलें पाहिजे
tem māyecem jem lakṣaṇa | temci puḍhem nirūpaṇa |
sucitapaṇem vivaraṇa | kelem pāhije
That māyā's mark — ahead in nirūpaṇa; / with attention, examination — should be done.
