What you receive depends on your inner attitude, not on force, and the only real good is a mind purified from within, drawn out the way a diamond is drawn from rock.
The verse
भाव तैसें फळ । न चले देवापाशीं बळ ॥१॥ धांवे जातीपाशीं जाती । खुण येरयेरां चित्तीं ॥ध्रु.॥ हिरा हिरकणी । काढी आंतुनि आहिरणी ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे केलें । मन शुद्ध हें चांगलें ॥३॥
Literal translation
Bhāva — taisē — phaḷa — baḷa doesn't cālē near deva. Jāti — runs — to jāti — khuṇa — each-other's citta. Hīra-hīrakaṇī — āhiraṇī — pulls — from inside. Tuka says: mana śuddha — cāngalē.

What it means
A bhāva-such-fruit-force-doesn't-work-jāti-runs-to-jāti-diamond-from-inside-mind-pure-is-good abhang. Bhāva-determines-fruit register. Three claims:

भाव-तैसें-फळ — देवापाशी-बळ-न-चालत. Bhāva-such-fruit-claim. As thebhāva(state, attitude), so thephaḷa(fruit, result); force (baḷa) doesn't work neardeva. Bhāva-determines-fruit-not-force.

जाति-जाती-पाशी — खुण एकमेकांच्या चित्तीं. Jāti-runs-to-jāti-claim. Jāti (kind, race) runs to jāti (like-runs-to-like);the khuṇa (mark, sign of-recognition) is in each-other's citta. Like-recognizes-like-by-sign-in-the-citta.

हिरा-हिरकणी — आहिरणी आतून काढी — Tuka: मन-शुद्ध-केलें-हें-च-चांगलें. Diamond-from-inside-mind-pure-good-claim. Thehīra(diamond) andhīrakaṇī(small-diamond-flake); theāhiraṇī(a Marathi term — gem-extractor / kind of jeweler-with-a-tool) pulls it from-inside; Tuka says: themanais madeśuddha — that's thecāngalē (good).Diamond-extracted-from-inside; mind-purification-is-the-good. (The gem-extractor reaches-inside (into the matrix-of-stone) to bring-out the diamond — like the bhakti-process reaches into-the-citta to extract-the-pure-mind.)

For someone today
As your inner attitude is, so is the fruit you receive; force is useless in the presence of God. Like recognizes like, Tukaram says — the same kind is drawn to the same kind, and the sign of that kinship shows itself in each other's hearts. A skilled jeweler draws the diamond out from within the rough stone; in the same way, Tukaram says, having a purified mind is the true good.
