A real connection with God dissolves the boundary between self and others, so that everyone's joy and sorrow become your own and the whole world becomes kin.

देवाच्या संबंधें विश्व चि सोयरें । सूत्र ओढे दोरें एका एक ॥१॥ आहाच हें नव्हे विटायासारिखें । जीव जीवनीं देखें सामावलें ॥ध्रु.॥ आणिकांचें सुख दुःख उमटे अंतरीं । एथील इतरीं तेणें न्यायें ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे ठसावलें शुद्ध जाती । शोभा चि पुढती विशेषता ॥३॥

For someone today
Once you are truly connected to God, Tukaram says, the whole world becomes your family — one invisible thread quietly pulls every being toward every other. This is not some fragile, easily-cracked feeling like a cheap clay pot; it is more like water merging into water, a life dissolving into life itself, so it cannot easily break apart. Because of that merging, other people's joy and sorrow start to rise up inside you as if they were your own — the same rule of feeling applies to you and to everyone else, with no separate standard for insiders and outsiders. Tukaram says this is what stamps a person into a truly pure lineage, and the radiance that follows from it is the real mark of distinction, not birth or status.
मराठी: देवाशी खरा संबंध जुळला की, तुकाराम म्हणतात, सारं जग तुमचं नातेवाईक बनतं — एक अदृश्य धागा प्रत्येक जीवाला एकमेकांकडे ओढत असतो. ही काही मातीच्या भांड्यासारखी ठिसूळ, सहज तुटणारी भावना नाही; ती जणू पाणी पाण्यात मिसळावं तशी असते, एक जीव दुसऱ्या जीवनात विरघळून जातो, त्यामुळे ती सहजासहजी तुटत नाही. या मिसळण्यामुळेच इतरांचं सुख-दुःख आपल्याही मनात उमटू लागतं, जणू ते आपलंच असावं — हाच भावनेचा एकच न्याय आपल्यालाही लागू होतो आणि इतरांनाही, आपले-परके असा वेगळा नियम नसतो. तुकाराम म्हणतात, यामुळेच माणूस खऱ्या अर्थाने शुद्ध कुळात ठसतो, आणि त्यातून येणारी शोभा हीच खरी विशेषता आहे, जन्म किंवा दर्जा नव्हे.
