Abhanga 2521

For today: haste in bhakti accomplishes golden-moment ; burn all sankalpa-seeds — make Gōpāla your own .

When you feel the pull of an old desire quietly shaping what you do next

When you get a sudden clear moment and have to choose whether to act on it now or lose it

When you realize you keep circling back to the same cravings and want to finally let them go

The verse

दिक चि या नाहीं संसारसंबंधा । तुटेना या बाधा भवरोगाची ॥१॥ तांतडींत करीं म्हणऊनि तांतडी । साधिली ते घडी सोनियाची ॥ध्रु.॥ संकल्पाच्या बीजें इंद्रियांची चाली । प्रारब्ध तें घाली गर्भवासीं ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे बीजें जाळुनी सकळ । करावा गोपाळ आपुला तो ॥३॥

Literal translation

No direction in samsāra — bhava-disease doesn't break. In haste do haste — accomplished the golden-moment. By sankalpa-seed, indriyas operate — prārabdha throws into garbha-vāsa. Tuka says: burn all seeds — make Gōpāla your own.

THE BURN-ALL-SAṄKALPA-SEEDS ABHANG.

The sankalpa-chain: sankalpāchyā bījē indriyāñchī chālī — prārabdha tē ghālī garbha-vāsīm — by sankalpa-seed, indriyas operate — prārabdha throws into garbha-vāsa. Sankalpa-seed → indriya-operation → prārabdha → garbha-vāsa (rebirth). The chain-of-bondage starts-with-sankalpa. Burn-all-sankalpa-seeds to-escape.
