The poignant-waiting: standing-at-door with-only-sighs; restraint-strained.
The verse
माझ्या कपाळाच्या गुणें । किंवा सरलेंसे नेणें ॥१॥
नये वचन बाहेरी । उभें तिष्ठतसें दारीं ॥ध्रु.॥
काय सांगायास वेचे । रींद आरंभीं ठायींचे ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे किती । भीड धरावी पुढती ॥३॥
Literal translation
Mājhyā kapāḷāñcyā guṇe — by my forehead's guṇa; kimva saralemse neṇe — or, used-up — I don't know. Naye vachana bāhērī — no word comes out; ubhe tiṣṭhatasēm dārīm — standing waiting at door. Kāya sāngāyāsa veche — what to say; rīmda ārambhīm ṭhāyīmñce — (a) sigh from the start. Tukā mhaṇe kitī — Tukā says: how much; bhīḍa dharāvī puḍhatī — modesty to hold further.
