उपाधिविण जें आकाश । तेंचि ब्रह्म निराभास ।
तें निराभासीं मूळमायेस । जन्म जाला
upādhiviṇa jem ākāśa | temci brahma nirābhāsa |
tem nirābhāsīm mūḷamāyesa | janma jālā
The upādhi-less ākāśa — that itself is nirābhāsa Brahma. / In that nirābhāsa, mūla-māyā had its birth.
तें मूळमायेचे लक्षण ।वायोस्वरूपचि जाण ।
पंचभूतें आणी त्रिगुण । वायोआंगीं
tem mūḷamāyece lakṣaṇa |vāyosvarūpaci jāṇa |
pamcabhūtem āṇī triguṇa | vāyoāmgīm
The mark of mūla-māyā — know as vāyu-svarūpa. / Pañca-bhūtas and tri-guṇas reside in the body of vāyu.
आकाशापासून वायो जाला । तो वायोदेव बोलिला ।
वायोपासून अग्नि जाला । तो अग्निदेव
ākāśāpāsūna vāyo jālā | to vāyodeva bolilā |
vāyopāsūna agni jālā | to agnideva
From ākāśa arose vāyu — that is called vāyu-deva. / From vāyu arose fire — that is agni-deva.
अग्निपासून जालें आप । तें नारायणाचें स्वरूप ।
आपापासून पृथ्वीचें रूप । तें बीजाकारें
agnipāsūna jālem āpa | tem nārāyaṇācem svarūpa |
āpāpāsūna pṛthvīcem rūpa | tem bījākārem
From fire arose water — that is the svarūpa of Nārāyaṇa. / From water, the form of earth — that is in seed-form.
ते पृथ्वीचे पोटीं पाषाण । बहु देवांचें लक्षण ।
नाना प्रचित प्रमाण । पाषाणदेवीं
te pṛthvīce poṭīm pāṣāṇa | bahu devāmcem lakṣaṇa |
nānā pracita pramāṇa | pāṣāṇadevīm
In the womb of that earth are stones — many devas' marks. / Various pratyaya and pramāṇa — in stone-devas.
नाना वृक्ष मृत्तिका । प्रचित रोकडी विश्वलोकां ।
समस्त देवांचा थारा येका । वायोमध्यें
nānā vṛkṣa mṛttikā | pracita rokaḍī viśvalokām |
samasta devāmcā thārā yekā | vāyomadhyem
Various trees, clay — direct evidence among world-people. / The refuge of all devas — is one — in vāyu.
देव यक्षिणी कात्यायेणी । चामुंडा जखिणी मानविणी ।
नाना शक्ति नाना स्थानीं । देशपरत्वें
deva yakṣiṇī kātyāyeṇī | cāmumḍā jakhiṇī mānaviṇī |
nānā śakti nānā sthānīm | deśaparatvem
Devī, Yakṣiṇī, Kātyāyanī, Cāmuṇḍā, Jakhiṇī, Mānavinī, / various śaktis in various places — by region.
पुरुषनामें कित्येक । देव असती अनेक ।
भूतें देवतें नपुषक । नामें बोलिजेती
puruṣanāmem kityeka | deva asatī aneka |
bhūtem devatem napuṣaka | nāmem bolijetī
Masculine-named several devas — many. / Bhūtas, devatās, napumsakas — named.
देव देवतांदेवतेंभूतें । पृथ्वीमध्यें असंख्यातें ।
परंतु यां समस्तांतें । वायोस्वरूप बोलिजे
deva devatāmdevatembhūtem | pṛthvīmadhyem asamkhyātem |
paramtu yām samastāmtem | vāyosvarūpa bolije
Devas, devatās, devatā-bhūtas — on earth are innumerable. / Yet of all these — vāyu-svarūpa is spoken.
वायोस्वरूप सदा असणें । प्रसंगें नाना देह धरणें ।
गुप्त प्रगट होणें जाणें । समस्तांसी
vāyosvarūpa sadā asaṇem | prasamgem nānā deha dharaṇem |
gupta pragaṭa hoṇem jāṇem | samastāmsī
Vāyu-svarūpa being always, occasionally various bodies held; / hidden, manifest, coming-going — for all of them.
वायोस्वरूपें विचरती । वायोमध्यें जगज्जोती ।
जाणीवकळा वासना वृत्ति । नाना भेदें
vāyosvarūpem vicaratī | vāyomadhyem jagajjotī |
jāṇīvakaḷā vāsanā vṛtti | nānā bhedem
Vāyu-svarūpa wandering, in vāyu the jagaj-jyoti; / knowing-faculty, vāsanā, vṛtti — in various distinctions.
आकाशापासून वायो जाला । तो दों प्रकारें विभागला ।
सावधपणें विचार केला । पाहिजे श्रोतीं
ākāśāpāsūna vāyo jālā | to dom prakārem vibhāgalā |
sāvadhapaṇem vicāra kelā | pāhije śrotīm
From ākāśa arose vāyu; it is divided in two ways. / With awareness, the consideration — listeners should see.
येक वारा सकळ जणती । येक वायोमधील जगज्जोती ।
जगज्जोतीच्या अनंत मूर्ती । देवदेवतांच्या
yeka vārā sakaḷa jaṇatī | yeka vāyomadhīla jagajjotī |
jagajjotīcyā anamta mūrtī | devadevatāmcyā
One — the wind all know; one — jagaj-jyoti within vāyu. / The endless forms of jagaj-jyoti — are deva-devatās.
वायो बहुत विकारला । परंतु दों प्रकारें विभागला ।
आतां विचार ऐकिला । पाहिजे तेजाचा
vāyo bahuta vikāralā | paramtu dom prakārem vibhāgalā |
ātām vicāra aikilā | pāhije tejācā
Vāyu is manifoldly transformed; but divided in two ways. / Now the consideration of tejas — should be heard.
वायोपाऊन तेज जालें । उष्ण सीतळ प्रकाशलें ।
द्विविध रूप ऐकिलें । पाहिजें तेजाचें
vāyopāūna teja jālem | uṣṇa sītaḷa prakāśalem |
dvividha rūpa aikilem | pāhijem tejācem
From vāyu arose tejas — heat, cool, illuminating. / Two-fold form — should be heard — of tejas.
उष्णापासून जाला भानु । प्रकाशरूप दैदीप्यमानु ।
सर्वभक्षक हुताशनु । आणी विद्युल्यता
uṣṇāpāsūna jālā bhānu | prakāśarūpa daidīpyamānu |
sarvabhakṣaka hutāśanu | āṇī vidyulyatā
From heat arose the sun — blazing, dazzling light-form; / all-consuming Agni, and lightning.
सीतळापासून आप अमृत । चंद्र तारा आणी सीत ।
आतां परिसा सावचित्त। होऊन श्रोते
sītaḷāpāsūna āpa amṛta | camdra tārā āṇī sīta |
ātām parisā sāvacitta | hoūna śrote
From the cool arose water and amṛta; moon, stars, and cool. / Now hear attentively — listeners.
तेज बहुत विकारलें । परंतु द्विविधाच बोलिलें ।
आपहि द्विविधाच निरोपिलें । आप आणि अमृत
teja bahuta vikāralem | paramtu dvividhāca bolilem |
āpahi dvividhāca niropilem | āpa āṇi amṛta
Tejas has transformed much; yet is expounded only in two. / Water too expounded in two — water and amṛta.
ऐकें पृथ्वीचा विचार । पाषाण मृत्तिका निरंतर ।
आणीक दुसरा प्रकार । सुवर्ण परीस नाना रत्नें
aikem pṛthvīcā vicāra | pāṣāṇa mṛttikā niramtara |
āṇīka dusarā prakāra | suvarṇa parīsa nānā ratnem
Hear the consideration of earth — stones, clay, continuous. / Another kind — gold, touchstone, various gems.
बहुरत्ना वसुंधरा । कोण खोटा कोण खरा ।
अवघें कळे विचारा- । रूढ होतां
bahuratnā vasumdharā | koṇa khoṭā koṇa kharā |
avaghem kaḷe vicārā- | rūḍha hotām
The earth is rich in gems; who is false, who real? / All is known by the consideration-ascended.
मनुष्यें कोठून जालीं । हे मुख्य आशंका राहिली ।
पुढें वृत्ति सावध केली । पाहिजे श्रोतीं
manuṣyem koṭhūna jālīm | he mukhya āśamkā rāhilī |
puḍhem vṛtti sāvadha kelī | pāhije śrotīm
'Whence arose humans?' — this main doubt remains. / Ahead the vṛtti should be made attentive — by listeners.
