जाणतेपणें वर्तलें । पाहिजे नेमस्त
neṇapaṇem jālem tem jālem | jālem tem hoūna gelem |
jāṇatepaṇem vartalem | pāhije nemasta
What happened by ignorance — has happened-and-gone; / must be conducted with knowing — rigorously.
जाणत्याची संगती धरावी । जाणत्याची सेवा करावी ।
जाणत्याची सद्बुद्धि घ्यावी । हळुहळु
jāṇatyācī samgatī dharāvī | jāṇatyācī sevā karāvī |
jāṇatyācī sadbuddhi ghyāvī | haḷuhaḷu
Hold company of the knower; do service of the knower; / take the good-buddhi of the knower — slowly.
जाणत्यापासीं लेहों सिकावें । जाणत्यापासीं वाचूं सिकावें ।
जाणत्यापासीं पुसावें । सकळ कांहीं
jāṇatyāpāsīm lehom sikāvem | jāṇatyāpāsīm vācūm sikāvem |
jāṇatyāpāsīm pusāvem | sakaḷa kāmhīm
Learn writing from the knower; learn reading from the knower; / ask the knower — everything.
जाणत्यास करावा उपकार । जाणत्यास झिजवावें शरीर ।
जाणत्याचा पाहावा विचार । कैसा आहे
jāṇatyāsa karāvā upakāra | jāṇatyāsa jhijavāvem śarīra |
jāṇatyācā pāhāvā vicāra | kaisā āhe
Do upakāra to the knower; wear body for the knower; / see the knower's consideration — how it is.
जाणत्याचे संगतीनें भजावें । जाणत्याचे संगतीनें झिजावें ।
जाणत्याचे संगतीनें रिझावें । विवरविवरों
jāṇatyāce samgatīnem bhajāvem | jāṇatyāce samgatīnem jhijāvem |
jāṇatyāce samgatīnem rijhāvem | vivaravivarom
In knower's company, worship; in knower's company, wear out; / in knower's company, rejoice — examining-and-examining.
जाणत्याचे गावें गाणें । जाणत्यापासीं वाजवणें ।
नाना आळाप सिकणें । जाणत्यापासीं
jāṇatyāce gāvem gāṇem | jāṇatyāpāsīm vājavaṇem |
nānā āḷāpa sikaṇem | jāṇatyāpāsīm
Sing knower's songs; play music near the knower; / learn various modulations — from the knower.
जाणत्याचे कासेसी लागावें । जाणत्याचें औषध घ्यावीं ।
जाणतां सांगेल तें करावें । पथ्य आधीं
jāṇatyāce kāsesī lāgāvem | jāṇatyācem auṣadha ghyāvīm |
jāṇatām sāmgela tem karāvem | pathya ādhīm
Cling to the knower's garment; take the knower's medicine; / whatever the knower says — first do the regimen.
जाणत्यापासीं परीक्षा सिकणें । जाणत्यापासीं तालिम करणें ।
जाणत्यापासीं पोहणें । अभ्यासावें
jāṇatyāpāsīm parīkṣā sikaṇem | jāṇatyāpāsīm tālima karaṇem |
jāṇatyāpāsīm pohaṇem | abhyāsāvem
Learn examination from the knower; train from the knower; / swim from the knower — should be practiced.
जाणता बोलेले तैसें बोलावें । जाणता सांगेल तैसें चालावें ।
जाणत्याचें ध्यान घ्यावें । नाना प्रकरीं
jāṇatā bolele taisem bolāvem | jāṇatā sāmgela taisem cālāvem |
jāṇatyācem dhyāna ghyāvem | nānā prakarīm
Speak as the knower speaks; walk as the knower says; / take the knower's dhyāna — in various ways.
जाणत्याच्या कथा सिकाव्या । जाणत्याच्या युक्ति समजाव्या ।
जाणत्याच्या गोष्टी विवराव्या । सकळ कांहीं
jāṇatyācyā kathā sikāvyā | jāṇatyācyā yukti samajāvyā |
jāṇatyācyā goṣṭī vivarāvyā | sakaḷa kāmhīm
Learn the knower's stories; understand the knower's yuktis; / examine the knower's matters — everything.
जाणत्याचे पेंच जाणावे । जाणत्याचे पीळ उकलावे ।
जाणता राखेल तैसे राखावे । लोक राजी
jāṇatyāce pemca jāṇāve | jāṇatyāce pīḷa ukalāve |
jāṇatā rākhela taise rākhāve | loka rājī
Know the knower's entanglements; untangle the knower's twists; / as the knower preserves, so preserve — people happy.
जाणत्याचे जाणावे प्रसंग । जाणत्याचे घ्यावे रंग ।
जाणत्याचे स्फूर्तीचे तरंग । अभ्यासावे
jāṇatyāce jāṇāve prasamga | jāṇatyāce ghyāve ramga |
jāṇatyāce sphūrtīce taramga | abhyāsāve
Know the knower's occasions; take the knower's colours; / practice the knower's inspiration-waves.
जाणत्याचा साक्षेप घ्यावा । जाणत्याचा तर्क जाणावा ।
जाणत्याचा उल्लेख समजावा । न बोलतांचि
jāṇatyācā sākṣepa ghyāvā | jāṇatyācā tarka jāṇāvā |
jāṇatyācā ullekha samajāvā | na bolatāmci
Take the knower's attention; know the knower's tarka; / understand the knower's expression — without [him] speaking.
जाणत्याचें धूर्तपण । जाणत्याचें राजकारण ।
जाणत्याचें निरूपण । ऐकत जावें
jāṇatyācem dhūrtapaṇa | jāṇatyācem rājakāraṇa |
jāṇatyācem nirūpaṇa | aikata jāvem
The knower's cunning; the knower's rāja-kāraṇa; / the knower's nirūpaṇa — should continue to hear.
जाण्त्याची कवित्वें सिकावीं । गद्यें पद्यें वोळखावी ।
माधुर्यवचनें समजावीं । अंतर्यामीं
jāṇtyācī kavitvem sikāvīm | gadyem padyem voḷakhāvī |
mādhuryavacanem samajāvīm | amtaryāmīm
Learn the knower's poetry; gadya-padya should be recognized; / sweet-sounding words should be understood — within.
जाणत्याचें पाहावे प्रबंद । जाणत्याचे वचनभेद ।
जाणत्याचे नाना संवाद । बरे शोधावे
jāṇatyācem pāhāve prabamda | jāṇatyāce vacanabheda |
jāṇatyāce nānā samvāda | bare śodhāve
See the knower's compositions; the knower's word-divisions; / the knower's various dialogues — should be searched well.
जाणत्याची तीक्षणता । जाणत्याची सहिष्णता ।
जाणत्याची उदारत । समजोन घ्यावी
jāṇatyācī tīkṣaṇatā | jāṇatyācī sahiṣṇatā |
jāṇatyācī udārata | samajona ghyāvī
The knower's sharpness; the knower's forbearance; / the knower's generosity — should be understood.
जाणत्याची नाना कल्पना । जाणत्याची दीर्घ सूचना ।
जाणत्याची विवंचना । समजोन घ्यावी
jāṇatyācī nānā kalpanā | jāṇatyācī dīrgha sūcanā |
jāṇatyācī vivamcanā | samajona ghyāvī
The knower's various kalpanās; the knower's long-range signals; / the knower's sifting — should be understood.
जाणत्याचा काळ सार्थक । जाणत्याचा अध्यात्मविवेक ।
जाणत्याचे गुण अनेक । आवघेच घ्यावे
jāṇatyācā kāḷa sārthaka | jāṇatyācā adhyātmaviveka |
jāṇatyāce guṇa aneka | āvagheca ghyāve
The knower's time-fulfillment; the knower's adhyātma-vivek; / the knower's many virtues — all should be taken.
जाणत्याचा भक्तिमार्ग । जाणत्याचा वैराग्ययोग ।
जाणत्याचा अवघा प्रसंग । समजोन घ्यावा
jāṇatyācā bhaktimārga | jāṇatyācā vairāgyayoga |
jāṇatyācā avaghā prasamga | samajona ghyāvā
The knower's bhakti-mārga; the knower's vairāgya-yoga; / the knower's whole occasion — should be understood.
जाणत्याचें पाहावें ज्ञान । जाणत्याचें सिकावें ध्यान ।
जाणत्याचें सूक्ष्म चिन्ह । समजोन घावें
jāṇatyācem pāhāvem jñāna | jāṇatyācem sikāvem dhyāna |
jāṇatyācem sūkṣma cinha | samajona ghāvem
See the knower's jñāna; learn the knower's dhyāna; / the knower's subtle signs — should be understood.
जाणत्याचें अलिप्तपण । जाणत्याचें विदेहलक्षण ।
जाणत्याचें ब्रह्मविवरण । समजोन घ्यावें
jāṇatyācem aliptapaṇa | jāṇatyācem videhalakṣaṇa |
jāṇatyācem brahmavivaraṇa | samajona ghyāvem
The knower's aloofness; the knower's videha-mark; / the knower's brahma-examination — should be understood.
जाणत येक अंतरात्मा । त्याचा काये सांगावा महिमा ।
विद्याकळागुणसीमा । कोणें करावी
jāṇata yeka amtarātmā | tyācā kāye sāmgāvā mahimā |
vidyākaḷāguṇasīmā | koṇem karāvī
The one knower is Antarātmā; how to tell his mahimā? / The limit of vidyā, kalā, guṇa — who can make?
परमेश्वरांचे गुणानुवाद । अखंड करावा संवाद ।
तेणेंकरितां आनंद । उदंड होतो
parameśvarāmce guṇānuvāda | akhamḍa karāvā samvāda |
teṇemkaritām ānamda | udamḍa hoto
Parameśvara's virtue-praises — should be done continuously in dialogue; / by that, joy — abundant occurs.
परमेश्वरें निर्मिलें तें । अखंड दृष्टीस पडतें ।
विवरविवरों समजावें तें । विवेकी जनीं
parameśvarem nirmilem tem | akhamḍa dṛṣṭīsa paḍatem |
vivaravivarom samajāvem tem | vivekī janīm
What Parameśvara has created — always falls on sight; / examining-examining, should be understood — by vivekī people.
जितुकें कांहीं निर्माण जालें । तितुकें जगदेश्वरें निर्मिलें ।
निर्माण वेगळें केलें । पाहिजे आधीं
jitukem kāmhīm nirmāṇa jālem | titukem jagadeśvarem nirmilem |
nirmāṇa vegaḷem kelem | pāhije ādhīm
Whatever is created — has been created by Jagadeśvara; / 'created' should be made separate — first.
तो निर्माण करतो जना । परी पाहों जातां दिसेना ।
विवेकबळें अनुमाना । आणीत जावा
to nirmāṇa karato janā | parī pāhom jātām disenā |
vivekabaḷem anumānā | āṇīta jāvā
He creates people; but on looking, does not appear; / by vivek-strength, to inference — should be brought.
त्याचें अखंड लागतां ध्यान । कृपाळुपणें देतो आशन ।
सर्वकाळ संभाषण । तदांशेंचि करावें
tyācem akhamḍa lāgatām dhyāna | kṛpāḷupaṇem deto āśana |
sarvakāḷa sambhāṣaṇa | tadāmśemci karāvem
On unbrokenly attaching dhyāna — compassionately he gives food; / always conversation — should be done with his portion.
ध्यान धरीना तो अभक्त । ध्यान धरील तो भक्त ।
संसारापासुनी मुक्त । भक्तांस करी
dhyāna dharīnā to abhakta | dhyāna dharīla to bhakta |
samsārāpāsunī mukta | bhaktāmsa karī
He who does not hold dhyāna is abhakta; he who holds is bhakta; / from samsāra makes mukta — the bhaktas.
उपासनेचे सेवटीं । देवां भक्तां अखंड भेटी ।
अवुभवी जाणेल गोष्टी । प्रत्ययाची
upāsanece sevaṭīm | devām bhaktām akhamḍa bheṭī |
avubhavī jāṇela goṣṭī | pratyayācī
At the end of upāsanā — devas-and-bhaktas unbroken meeting; / the experienced will know the matter — of pratyaya.
