अनुर्वाच्य समाधान जालें । तें पाहिजे बोलिलें ।
बोलिल्यासाठीं समाधान गेलें । हें तों घडेना
anurvācya samādhāna jālem | tem pāhije bolilem |
bolilyāsāṭhīm samādhāna gelem | hem tom ghaḍenā
Inexpressible samādhāna occurred; that must be spoken; / by speaking samādhāna went — this does not happen.
कांहीं सांडावें लागत नाहीं । कांहीं मांडावें लागत नाहीं ।
येक विचार शोधून पाहीं । म्हणिजे कळे
kāmhīm sāmḍāvem lāgata nāhīm | kāmhīm māmḍāvem lāgata nāhīm |
yeka vicāra śodhūna pāhīm | mhaṇije kaḷe
Nothing need be abandoned; nothing need be set up; / one consideration seek-and-see — then it is known.
मुख्य कासीविश्वेश्वर । श्वेतबंद रामेश्वर ।
मलकार्जुन भीमाशंकर । गुण आत्मयाचे
mukhya kāsīviśveśvara | śvetabamda rāmeśvara |
malakārjuna bhīmāśamkara | guṇa ātmayāce
Chief Kāśī-Viśveśvara; Śvetabaṇḍa, Rāmeśvara; / Mallikārjuna, Bhīmāśankara — virtues of Ātmā.
जैसीं मुख्य बारा लिंगें । यावेगळीं अनंत लिंगें ।
प्रचित जाणिजेत जगें । गुण आत्मयाचे
jaisīm mukhya bārā limgem | yāvegaḷīm anamta limgem |
pracita jāṇijeta jagem | guṇa ātmayāce
As are the main twelve lingas; besides these, endless lingas; / pratīti known by the world — virtues of Ātmā.
भूमंडळीं अनंत शक्ति । नाना साक्षात्कार चमत्कार होती ।
नाना देवांच्या सामर्थ्यमूर्ती । गुण आत्मयाचे
bhūmamḍaḷīm anamta śakti | nānā sākṣātkāra camatkāra hotī |
nānā devāmcyā sāmarthyamūrtī | guṇa ātmayāce
On earth-globe, endless śaktis; various sākṣātkāras, wonders happen; / various devas' power-mūrtis — virtues of Ātmā.
नाना सिद्धांचीं सामर्थ्यें । नाना मंत्रांचीं सामर्थ्यें ।
नानामोहरेवल्लींत सामर्थ्यें । गुण आत्मयाचे
nānā siddhāmcīm sāmarthyem | nānā mamtrāmcīm sāmarthyem |
nānāmoharevallīmta sāmarthyem | guṇa ātmayāce
Various siddhas' powers; various mantras' powers; / various jewel-vine powers — virtues of Ātmā.
नाना तीर्थांचीं सामर्थ्यें । नाना क्षेत्रांचीं सामर्थ्यें ।
नाना भूमंडळीं सामर्थ्यें । गुण आत्मयाचे
nānā tīrthāmcīm sāmarthyem | nānā kṣetrāmcīm sāmarthyem |
nānā bhūmamḍaḷīm sāmarthyem | guṇa ātmayāce
Various tīrthas' powers; various kṣetras' powers; / various earth-globe powers — virtues of Ātmā.
जितुके कांहीं उत्तम गुण । तितुकें आत्मयाचें लक्षण ।
बरें वाईट तितुकें जाण । आत्म्याचकरितां
jituke kāmhīm uttama guṇa | titukem ātmayācem lakṣaṇa |
barem vāīṭa titukem jāṇa | ātmyācakaritām
Whatever excellent virtues — are the marks of Ātmā; / good-bad, all — is because of Ātmā.
शुद्ध आत्मा उत्तम गुणी । सबळ आत्मा अवलक्षणी ।
बरी वाईट आवघी करणी । आत्मयाची
śuddha ātmā uttama guṇī | sabaḷa ātmā avalakṣaṇī |
barī vāīṭa āvaghī karaṇī | ātmayācī
Pure Ātmā is excellent-virtued; strong Ātmā is defect-marked; / good-bad, all doing — is of Ātmā.
नाना साभिमान धरणें । नाना प्रतिसृष्टी करणें ।
नाना श्रापौश्रापलक्षणें आत्मयाचेनी
nānā sābhimāna dharaṇem | nānā pratisṛṣṭī karaṇem |
nānā śrāpauśrāpalakṣaṇem ātmayācenī
Various self-prides to hold; various counter-sṛṣṭis to make; / various curse-counter-curse-marks — due to Ātmā.
पिंडाचा बरा शोध घ्यावा । तत्वांचा पिंड शोधावा ।
तत्वें शोधितां पिंड आघवा । कळों येतो
pimḍācā barā śodha ghyāvā | tatvāmcā pimḍa śodhāvā |
tatvem śodhitām pimḍa āghavā | kaḷom yeto
Search the body well; search the body of tattvas; / searching tattvas, the whole body — begins to be known.
जड देह भूतांचा । चंचळ गुण आत्मयाचा ।
निश्चळ ब्रह्मावेगळा ठाव कैचा । जेथें तेथें
jaḍa deha bhūtāmcā | camcaḷa guṇa ātmayācā |
niścaḷa brahmāvegaḷā ṭhāva kaicā | jethem tethem
Inert body is of elements; cañcala guṇa is of Ātmā; / apart from niścala Brahma, whence place — wherever.
निश्चळ चंचळ आणी जड । पिंडीं करावा निवाड ।
प्रत्ययवेगळें जाड । बोलणें नाहीं
niścaḷa camcaḷa āṇī jaḍa | pimḍīm karāvā nivāḍa |
pratyayavegaḷem jāḍa | bolaṇem nāhīm
Niścala, cañcala, and inert; in body should be decided; / apart from pratyaya, greater — there is no speech.
पिंडामधून आत्मा जातो । तेव्हां निवाडा कळों येतो ।
देहे जड हा पडतो । देखतदेखतां
pimḍāmadhūna ātmā jāto | tevhām nivāḍā kaḷom yeto |
dehe jaḍa hā paḍato | dekhatadekhatām
When Ātmā leaves from body — then the distinction is known; / the inert body falls — in plain sight.
जड तितुकें पडिलें । चंचळ तितुकें निघोनी गेलें ।
जडचंचळाचें रूप आलें । प्रत्ययासी
jaḍa titukem paḍilem | camcaḷa titukem nighonī gelem |
jaḍacamcaḷācem rūpa ālem | pratyayāsī
As inert, that fell; as cañcala, that went off; / the form of inert-cañcala — came to pratyaya.
निश्चळ आहे सकळां ठाईं । हें तों पाहाणें नलगे कांहीं ।
गुणविकार तेथें नाहीं । निश्चळासी
niścaḷa āhe sakaḷām ṭhāīm | hem tom pāhāṇem nalage kāmhīm |
guṇavikāra tethem nāhīm | niścaḷāsī
Niścala is in every place; this does not need to be seen; / there, no guṇa-vikāra — for niścala.
जैसें पिंड तैसें ब्रह्मांड । विचार दिसतो उघड ।
जड चंचळ जातां जाड । परब्रह्मचि आहे
jaisem pimḍa taisem brahmāmḍa | vicāra disato ughaḍa |
jaḍa camcaḷa jātām jāḍa | parabrahmaci āhe
As is piṇḍa, so is brahmāṇḍa; the consideration seen openly; / inert-cañcala gone away — para-brahma alone is.
माहांभूतांचा खंबीर केला । आत्मा घालून पुतळा जाला ।
चालिला सृष्टीचा गल्बला । येणें रितीं
māhāmbhūtāmcā khambīra kelā | ātmā ghālūna putaḷā jālā |
cālilā sṛṣṭīcā galbalā | yeṇem ritīm
Of mahā-bhūtas a frame was made; placing Ātmā, a puppet made; / the sṛṣṭi's commotion proceeded — in this manner.
आत्मा माया विकार करी । आळ घालिती ब्रह्मावरी ।
प्रत्ययें सकळ कांहीं विवरी । तोचि भला
ātmā māyā vikāra karī | āḷa ghālitī brahmāvarī |
pratyayem sakaḷa kāmhīm vivarī | toci bhalā
Ātmā, māyā do vikāras; attach blame to Brahma; / he who examines everything by pratyaya — he is the good.
ब्रह्म व्यापक अखंड । वरकड व्यापकता खंड ।
शोधून पाहातं जड । कांहींच नाहीं
brahma vyāpaka akhamḍa | varakaḍa vyāpakatā khamḍa |
śodhūna pāhātam jaḍa | kāmhīmca nāhīm
Brahma is pervading, unbroken; other pervasions are broken; / on searching, inert — is nothing at all.
गगनासी खंडता नये । गगनाचें नासेल काये ।
जरी जाला माहांप्रळये । सृष्टीसंव्हार
gaganāsī khamḍatā naye | gaganācem nāsela kāye |
jarī jālā māhāmpraḷaye | sṛṣṭīsamvhāra
Sky cannot be broken; what of sky would perish? / Even if mahā-pralaya occurred — the sṛṣṭi-samhāra.
जें संव्हारामध्यें सापडले । तें सहजचि नासिवंत जालें ।
जाणते लोकीं उगविलें । पाहिजे कोडें
jem samvhārāmadhyem sāpaḍale | tem sahajaci nāsivamta jālem |
jāṇate lokīm ugavilem | pāhije koḍem
What was caught in samhāra — naturally became perishable; / by knowing people — the riddle should be unraveled.
न कळतां वाटे कोडें । कळतां आवघें दिसें उघडें ।
म्हणोनी येकांतीं निवाडे । विचार पाहावा
na kaḷatām vāṭe koḍem | kaḷatām āvaghem disem ughaḍem |
mhaṇonī yekāmtīm nivāḍe | vicāra pāhāvā
If not known, seems a riddle; on knowing, all appears open; / therefore in solitude, decision — the consideration should be seen.
मिळता प्रत्ययाचे संत । येकांपरीस येकांत ।
केली पाहिजे सावचित । नाना चर्चा
miḷatā pratyayāce samta | yekāmparīsa yekāmta |
kelī pāhije sāvacita | nānā carcā
Meet the saints of pratyaya; more than any other, solitude; / should be made carefully — various discussions.
पाहिल्यावेगळें कळत नाहीं । कळतां कळतां संदेह नाहीं ।
विवेक पाहातां कोठेंचि नाहीं । मायाजाळ
pāhilyāvegaḷem kaḷata nāhīm | kaḷatām kaḷatām samdeha nāhīm |
viveka pāhātām koṭhemci nāhīm | māyājāḷa
Without seeing, nothing is known; on knowing-and-knowing, no doubt; / on looking with vivek, nowhere — is māyā-net.
गगनीं आभाळ आलें । मागुती सवेंचि उडालें ।
आत्म्याकरितां दृश्य जालें । उडेल तैसें
gaganīm ābhāḷa ālem | māgutī savemci uḍālem |
ātmyākaritām dṛśya jālem | uḍela taisem
In sky, clouds came; again immediately flew off; / because of Ātmā, dṛśya happens — flies off likewise.
मुळापासून सेवटवरी । विवेकी विवेकें विवरी ।
तोचि निश्चय थावरी । चळेना ऐसा
muḷāpāsūna sevaṭavarī | vivekī vivekem vivarī |
toci niścaya thāvarī | caḷenā aisā
From root to end, the vivekī examines by vivek; / that certainty stabilizes — unshakable thus.
वरकड निश्चय अनुमानाचे । अनुमानें बोलतां काये वेंचे ।
जाणते पुरुष प्रचितीचे । ते तों मानीतना
varakaḍa niścaya anumānāce | anumānem bolatām kāye vemce |
jāṇate puruṣa pracitīce | te tom mānītanā
Other certainties are of inference; by inference, speaking, what is gained? / The knowing puruṣas of pratīti — do not accept.
उगेंच बोलणें अनुमानाचें । अनुमानाचें कोण्या कामाचें ।
येथें सगट विचाराचें । काम नाहीं
ugemca bolaṇem anumānācem | anumānācem koṇyā kāmācem |
yethem sagaṭa vicārācem | kāma nāhīm
Uselessly speaking of inference; inference is of what use? / Here indiscriminate consideration — has no task.
सगट विचार तो अविचार । कित्येक म्हणती येकंकार ।
येकंकार भ्रष्टाकार । करूं नये
sagaṭa vicāra to avicāra | kityeka mhaṇatī yekamkāra |
yekamkāra bhraṣṭākāra | karūm naye
Indiscriminate consideration is un-consideration; several say 'one-form'; / one-form defiled-form — should not be done.
कृत्रिम अवघें सांडावें । कांहीं येक शुद्ध घ्यावें ।
जाणजाणों निवडावें । सारासार
kṛtrima avaghem sāmḍāvem | kāmhīm yeka śuddha ghyāvem |
jāṇajāṇom nivaḍāvem | sārāsāra
All artificial should be abandoned; take something pure; / knowing-and-knowing select — sāra-asāra.
