विधीप्रपंचतरु वाढला । वाढतां वाढतां विस्तीर्ण जाला ।
फळें येतां विश्रांती पावला । बहुत गुणी
vidhīprapamcataru vāḍhalā | vāḍhatām vāḍhatām vistīrṇa jālā |
phaḷem yetām viśrāmtī pāvalā | bahuta guṇī
The rule-prapañca tree grew; growing-growing expanded; / fruits coming, reached rest — many-virtued.
नाना फळें रसाळें लागलीं । नाना जिनसी गोडीस आलीं ।
गोडी पाहावया निर्माण केलीं । नाना शरीरें
nānā phaḷem rasāḷem lāgalīm | nānā jinasī goḍīsa ālīm |
goḍī pāhāvayā nirmāṇa kelīm | nānā śarīrem
Various juicy fruits attached; various kinds sweetened; / for sweet-tasting, were created — various bodies.
निर्माण जाले उत्तम विषये । शरीरेंविण भोगितां नये ।
म्हणोनी निर्मिला उपाये । नाना शरीरें
nirmāṇa jāle uttama viṣaye | śarīremviṇa bhogitām naye |
mhaṇonī nirmilā upāye | nānā śarīrem
Created excellent viṣayas; cannot be enjoyed without body; / therefore the means was made — various bodies.
ज्ञानैंद्रियें निर्माण केलीं । भिन्न भिन्न गुणांचीं निर्मिलीं ।
येका शरीरासी लागलीं । परी वेगळालीं
jñānaimdriyem nirmāṇa kelīm | bhinna bhinna guṇāmcīm nirmilīm |
yekā śarīrāsī lāgalīm | parī vegaḷālīm
Jñāna-senses were created; of distinct-distinct virtues created; / attached to one body — but separate.
श्रोत्रैंद्रिंई शब्द पडिला । त्याचा भेद पाहिजे कळला ।
ऐसा उपाये निर्माण केला । इंद्रियांमधें
śrotraimdrimī śabda paḍilā | tyācā bheda pāhije kaḷalā |
aisā upāye nirmāṇa kelā | imdriyāmmadhem
Sound falls on the ear-sense; its bheda must be known; / such means was created — among senses.
त्वचेइंद्रियें सीतोष्ण भासे । चक्षुइंद्रियें सकळ दिसे ।
इंद्रियांमधें गुण ऐसे । वेगळाले
tvaceimdriyem sītoṣṇa bhāse | cakṣuimdriyem sakaḷa dise |
imdriyāmmadhem guṇa aise | vegaḷāle
By skin-sense cold-hot appears; by eye-sense all is seen; / among senses such virtues — are separate.
जिव्हेमधें रस चाखणें । घ्राणामधें परिमळ घेणें ।
इंद्रियांमधें वेगळाल्या गुणें । भेद केले
jivhemadhem rasa cākhaṇem | ghrāṇāmadhem parimaḷa gheṇem |
imdriyāmmadhem vegaḷālyā guṇem | bheda kele
In tongue, tasting rasa; in nose, taking fragrance; / among senses, by distinct virtues — bhedas made.
वायोपंचकीं अंतःकर्णपंचक । मिसळोनि फिरे निशंक ।
ज्ञानैंद्रियें कर्मैंद्रियें सकळिक । सावकास पाहे
vāyopamcakīm amtaḥkarṇapamcaka | misaḷoni phire niśamka |
jñānaimdriyem karmaimdriyem sakaḷika | sāvakāsa pāhe
In vāyu-pañcaka, antaḥkaraṇa-pañcaka — mixing, roams fearlessly; / jñāna-senses, karma-senses all — leisurely sees.
कर्मैंद्रियें लागवेगीं । जीव भोगीं विषयांलागीं ।
ऐसा हा उपाये जगीं । ईश्वरें केला
karmaimdriyem lāgavegīm | jīva bhogīm viṣayāmlāgīm |
aisā hā upāye jagīm | īśvarem kelā
Karma-senses with alacrity; jīva enjoys viṣayas; / such a means in the world — was made by Īśvara.
निषय निर्माण जाले बरवे । शरीरेंविण कैसें भोगावे ।
नाना शरीराचे गोवे । याकारणें
niṣaya nirmāṇa jāle barave | śarīremviṇa kaisem bhogāve |
nānā śarīrāce gove | yākāraṇem
Viṣayas created good; without body how to enjoy? / Various body-entanglements — for this reason.
अस्तीमांशाचे शरीर । त्यामधें गुणप्रकार ।
शरीरासारिखें यंत्र । आणीक नाहीं
astīmāmśāce śarīra | tyāmadhem guṇaprakāra |
śarīrāsārikhem yamtra | āṇīka nāhīm
Body of bone-flesh; within it virtue-types; / a machine like body — nothing [else] is.
ऐसीं शरीरें निर्माण केलीं । विषयभोगें वाढविलीं ।
लाहानथोर निर्माण जालीं । येणें प्रकारें
aisīm śarīrem nirmāṇa kelīm | viṣayabhogem vāḍhavilīm |
lāhānathora nirmāṇa jālīm | yeṇem prakārem
Such bodies created; grown by viṣaya-bhoga; / small-large created — in this manner.
अस्तीमांशांचीं शरीरें । निर्माण केली जगदेश्वरें ।
विवेकें गुणविचारें । करूनियां
astīmāmśāmcīm śarīrem | nirmāṇa kelī jagadeśvarem |
vivekem guṇavicārem | karūniyām
Bodies of bone-flesh created by Jagadeśvara; / by vivek-virtue-consideration — doing.
अस्तिमौंशाचा पुतळा । जेणें ज्ञानें सकळ कळा ।
शरीरभेद वेगळा । ठाईं ठाईं
astimaumśācā putaḷā | jeṇem jñānem sakaḷa kaḷā |
śarīrabheda vegaḷā | ṭhāīm ṭhāīm
A puppet of bone-flesh; by whose jñāna all art; / body-divisions separate — in various places.
तो भेद कार्याकारण । त्याचा उदंड आहे गुण ।
सकळ तीक्ष्ण बुद्धीविण । काये कळे
to bheda kāryākāraṇa | tyācā udamḍa āhe guṇa |
sakaḷa tīkṣṇa buddhīviṇa | kāye kaḷe
That bheda is for cause-effect; it has abundant virtue; / all without sharp-buddhi — what can be known?
सकळ करणें ईश्वराला । म्हणोनी भेद निर्माण जाला ।
ऊर्धमुख होतां भेदाला । ठाव कैंचा
sakaḷa karaṇem īśvarālā | mhaṇonī bheda nirmāṇa jālā |
ūrdhamukha hotām bhedālā | ṭhāva kaimcā
All doing is Īśvara's; hence bheda was created; / becoming upward-facing, to bheda — whence place?
सृष्टिकर्णीं आगत्य भेद । संव्हारें सहजचि अभेद ।
भेद अभेद हा संवाद । मायागुणें
sṛṣṭikarṇīm āgatya bheda | samvhārem sahajaci abheda |
bheda abheda hā samvāda | māyāguṇem
In sṛṣṭi-making, necessarily bheda; in samhāra naturally abheda; / bheda-abheda is this dialogue — by māyā's virtue.
मायेमधें अंतरात्मा । नकळे तयाचा महिमा ।
जाला चतुर्मुख ब्रह्मा । तोहि संदेहीं पडे
māyemadhem amtarātmā | nakaḷe tayācā mahimā |
jālā caturmukha brahmā | tohi samdehīm paḍe
In māyā is the Antarātmā; his mahimā is not known; / Brahmā the four-faced became — he too falls into doubt.
पीळ पेंच कडोविकडीं । तर्क तीक्षण घडीनें घडी ।
मनासी होये तांतडी । विवरण करितां
pīḷa pemca kaḍovikaḍīm | tarka tīkṣaṇa ghaḍīnem ghaḍī |
manāsī hoye tāmtaḍī | vivaraṇa karitām
Coils, folds, up-and-down; sharp tarka moment-by-moment; / mind becomes strained — in doing exposition.
आत्मत्वें लागतें सकळ कांहीं । निरंजनीं हे कांहींच नाहीं ।
येकांतकाळीं समजोन पाहीं । म्हणिजे बरें
ātmatvem lāgatem sakaḷa kāmhīm | niramjanīm he kāmhīmca nāhīm |
yekāmtakāḷīm samajona pāhīm | mhaṇije barem
In Ātman-hood everything attaches; in nirañjana nothing attaches; / in solitude-time understand and see — that is good.
देहे सामर्थ्यानुसार । सकळ करी जगदेश्वर ।
थोर सामर्थ्यें अवतार । बोलिजेती
dehe sāmarthyānusāra | sakaḷa karī jagadeśvara |
thora sāmarthyem avatāra | bolijetī
Per body-capacity, Jagadeśvara does all; / by great power avatāras — are spoken.
शेष कूर्म वऱ्हाव जाले । येवढे देहे विशाळ धरिले ।
तेणें करितां रचना चाले । सकळ सृष्टीची
śeṣa kūrma vaṟhāva jāle | yevaḍhe dehe viśāḷa dharile |
teṇem karitām racanā cāle | sakaḷa sṛṣṭīcī
Śeṣa, Kūrma, Varāha became; held such vast bodies; / by that the composition proceeds — of all sṛṣṭi.
ईश्वरें केवढें सूत्र केलें । सूर्यबिंब धावाया लाविलें ।
धुकटाकरवीं धरविलें । अगाध पाणी
īśvarem kevaḍhem sūtra kelem | sūryabimba dhāvāyā lāvilem |
dhukaṭākaravīm dharavilem | agādha pāṇī
What a thread Īśvara made! Made sun-orb to run; / through mist held — profound water.
पर्वताऐसे ढग उचलिती । सूर्यबिंबासी अछ्यादिति ।
तेथें सवेंचि वायोची गती । प्रगट होये
parvatāaise ḍhaga ucalitī | sūryabimbāsī achyāditi |
tethem savemci vāyocī gatī | pragaṭa hoye
Mountain-like clouds are lifted; cover the sun-orb; / there immediately wind's motion — becomes manifest.
झिडकझिडकुं धांवे वारा । जैसा काळाचा म्हणियारा ।
ढग मारुनी दिनकरा । मोकळे करी
jhiḍakajhiḍakum dhāmve vārā | jaisā kāḷācā mhaṇiyārā |
ḍhaga mārunī dinakarā | mokaḷe karī
Shaking-shaking runs the wind; like Kāla's messenger; / striking clouds, the sun — makes free.
बैसती विजांचे तडाखे । प्राणीमात्र अवचिता धाके ।
गगन कडकडून तडके । स्थळांवरी
baisatī vijāmce taḍākhe | prāṇīmātra avacitā dhāke |
gagana kaḍakaḍūna taḍake | sthaḷāmvarī
Lightning-strokes sit down; every creature is suddenly afraid; / sky cracks thundering — upon places.
येहलोकासी येक वर्म केलें । महद्भूतें महद्भूत आळिलें ।
सकळां समभागें चालिलें । सृष्टिरचनेसी
yehalokāsī yeka varma kelem | mahadbhūtem mahadbhūta āḷilem |
sakaḷām samabhāgem cālilem | sṛṣṭiracanesī
In this-world, one secret was made: mahad-bhūta engaged mahad-bhūta; / all proceeded in equal share — in sṛṣṭi-rachanā.
ऐसे अनंत भेद आत्मयाचे । सकळ जाणती ऐसे कैंचें ।
विवरतां विवरतां मनाचे । फडके होती
aise anamta bheda ātmayāce | sakaḷa jāṇatī aise kaimcem |
vivaratām vivaratām manāce | phaḍake hotī
Such endless bhedas of Ātmā; who can know all? / Examining-and-examining, of mind — becomes bits.
ऐसी माझी उपासना । उपासकीं आणावी मना ।
अगाध महिमा चतुरानना । काये कळे
aisī mājhī upāsanā | upāsakīm āṇāvī manā |
agādha mahimā caturānanā | kāye kaḷe
Such is my upāsanā; upāsakas should bring to mind; / profound mahimā, O four-faced — what do you know?
आवाहन विसर्जन । हें चि भजनाचें लक्षण ।
सकळ जाणती सज्जन । मी काय सांगों
āvāhana visarjana | hem ci bhajanācem lakṣaṇa |
sakaḷa jāṇatī sajjana | mī kāya sāmgom
Āvāhana, visarjana — this is the mark of bhajana; / all sajjanas know — what do I say?
