मृतिकापूजन करावें । आणी सवेंचि विसर्जावें ।
हें मानेना स्वभावें । अंतःकर्णासी
mṛtikāpūjana karāvem | āṇī savemci visarjāvem |
hem mānenā svabhāvem | amtaḥkarṇāsī
Clay-pūjana should be done; and immediately dismissed; / this does not accept by svabhāva — to the antaḥkaraṇa.
देव पूजावा आणी टाकावा । हें प्रशस्त न वटे जीवा ।
याचा विचार पाहावा । अंतर्यामीं
deva pūjāvā āṇī ṭākāvā | hem praśasta na vaṭe jīvā |
yācā vicāra pāhāvā | amtaryāmīm
Deva to be worshipped and thrown away; this does not become appropriate to life; / its consideration should be seen — within.
देव करिजे ऐसा नाहीं । देव टाकिजे ऐसा नाहीं ।
म्हणोनि याचा कांहीं । विचार पाहावा
deva karije aisā nāhīm | deva ṭākije aisā nāhīm |
mhaṇoni yācā kāmhīm | vicāra pāhāvā
'Deva is such as to be made' — is not; 'Deva is such as to be thrown away' — is not; / therefore, some consideration — should be seen.
देव नाना शरीरें धरितो । धरुनी मागुती सोडितो ।
तरी तो देव कैसा आहे तो । विवेकें वोळखावा
deva nānā śarīrem dharito | dharunī māgutī soḍito |
tarī to deva kaisā āhe to | vivekem voḷakhāvā
Deva holds various bodies; holding, again releases; / then how is that Deva — should be recognized by vivek.
नाना साधनें निरूपणें । देव शोधायाकारणें ।
सकळ आपुले अंतःकर्णें । समजलें पाहिजे
nānā sādhanem nirūpaṇem | deva śodhāyākāraṇem |
sakaḷa āpule amtaḥkarṇem | samajalem pāhije
Various sādhanas, nirūpaṇas; for searching Deva; / all by one's antaḥkaraṇa — should be understood.
ब्रह्मज्ञाचा उपाये । समजल्याविण देतां नये ।
पदार्थ आहे मा घे जाये । ऐसें म्हणावें
brahmajñācā upāye | samajalyāviṇa detām naye |
padārtha āhe mā ghe jāye | aisem mhaṇāvem
The means of brahma-jñāna — without understanding cannot be given; / 'object is, take it' — how should it be said?
सगट लोकांचे अंतरींचा भाव । मज प्रतक्ष भेटवावा देव ।
परंतु विवेकाचा उपाव । वेगळाचि आहे
sagaṭa lokāmce amtarīmcā bhāva | maja pratakṣa bheṭavāvā deva |
paramtu vivekācā upāva | vegaḷāci āhe
The bhāva within of ordinary people: 'directly meet me with Deva'; / but the means of vivek — is separate.
विचार पाहातां तगेना । त्यास देव ऐसें म्हणावेना ।
परंतु जन राहेना । काये करावें
vicāra pāhātām tagenā | tyāsa deva aisem mhaṇāvenā |
paramtu jana rāhenā | kāye karāvem
On examination does not endure; to him Deva should not be called; / but people do not stop — what to do?
थोर लोक मरोनि जाती । त्यांच्या सुरता करुनी पाहाती ।
तैसीच आहे हेहि गती । उपासनेची
thora loka maroni jātī | tyāmcyā suratā karunī pāhātī |
taisīca āhe hehi gatī | upāsanecī
Great people die and go; make their portraits and see; / such is also the course — of upāsanā.
थोर व्यापार ठाकेना जनीं । म्हणोनि केली रखतवानी ।
राजसंपदा तयाचेनी । प्राप्त कैची
thora vyāpāra ṭhākenā janīm | mhaṇoni kelī rakhatavānī |
rājasampadā tayācenī | prāpta kaicī
Great business does not work among people; so he made cloth-sculpture; / the royal wealth by it — whence attained?
म्हणोनि जितुका भोळा भाव । तितुका अज्ञानाचा स्वभाव ।
अज्ञानें तरी देवाधिदेव । पाविजेल कैचा
mhaṇoni jitukā bhoḷā bhāva | titukā ajñānācā svabhāva |
ajñānem tarī devādhideva | pāvijela kaicā
Therefore as much simple-bhāva — as much is svabhāva of ignorance; / by ignorance, Devādhi-deva — whence will be attained?
अज्ञासी ज्ञान न माने । ज्ञात्यास अनुमान न माने ।
म्हणोनि सिद्धांचिये खुणें । पावलें पाहिजे
ajñāsī jñāna na māne | jñātyāsa anumāna na māne |
mhaṇoni siddhāmciye khuṇem | pāvalem pāhije
To the ignorant, jñāna is not accepted; to the jñānī, inference not accepted; / therefore by the mark of siddhas — should be attained.
माया सांडून मुळास जावें । तरीच समाधान पावावें ।
ऐसें न होतां भरंगळावें । भलतीकडे
māyā sāmḍūna muḷāsa jāvem | tarīca samādhāna pāvāvem |
aisem na hotām bharamgaḷāvem | bhalatīkaḍe
Abandoning māyā, to the root one should go; only then samādhāna attained; / not happening thus, stumbling — anywhere.
माया उलंघायाकारणें । देवासी नाना उपाय करणें ।
अध्यात्मश्रवणपंथेंचि जाणें । प्रत्ययानें
māyā ulamghāyākāraṇem | devāsī nānā upāya karaṇem |
adhyātmaśravaṇapamthemci jāṇem | pratyayānem
For crossing māyā; various means should be done to Deva; / must go by the adhyātma-śravaṇa-path — by pratyaya.
ऐसें न करितां लोकिकीं । अवघीच होते चुकामुकी ।
स्थिति खरी आणि लटकी । ऐसी वोळखावी
aisem na karitām lokikīm | avaghīca hote cukāmukī |
sthiti kharī āṇi laṭakī | aisī voḷakhāvī
Not doing thus, in worldly — all becomes a mix-up; / true state and false — should be recognized.
खोट्याचे वाटे जाऊं नये । खोट्याची संगती धरूं नये ।
खोटें संग्रहीं करूं नये । कांहींयेक
khoṭyāce vāṭe jāūm naye | khoṭyācī samgatī dharūm naye |
khoṭem samgrahīm karūm naye | kāmhīmyeka
Do not go the false path; do not hold company of the false; / do not gather the false — anything.
खोटें तें खोटेंचि खोटें । खर्यासी तगेनात बालटें ।
मन अधोमुख उफराटें । केलें पाहिजे
khoṭem tem khoṭemci khoṭem | kharyāsī tagenāta bālaṭem |
mana adhomukha upharāṭem | kelem pāhije
The false is only false; does not endure pitted against the true; / mind should be made upward-facing — reversed.
अध्यात्मश्रवण करीत जावें । म्हणिजे सकळ कांहीं फावे ।
नाना प्रकारीचे गोवे । तुटोनी जाती
adhyātmaśravaṇa karīta jāvem | mhaṇije sakaḷa kāmhīm phāve |
nānā prakārīce gove | tuṭonī jātī
Continue to do adhyātma-śravaṇa; then all becomes known; / various kinds of entanglements — snap off.
सूत गुंतलें तें उकलावें । तैसे मन उगवावें ।
मानत मानत घालावें । मुळाकडे
sūta gumtalem tem ukalāvem | taise mana ugavāvem |
mānata mānata ghālāvem | muḷākaḍe
Tangled thread should be untangled; likewise mind should be unraveled; / accepting, accepting, place — toward the root.
सकळ कांहीं कालवलें । त्या सकळाचें सकळ जालें ।
शरीरीं विभागले । सकळ कांहीं
sakaḷa kāmhīm kālavalem | tyā sakaḷācem sakaḷa jālem |
śarīrīm vibhāgale | sakaḷa kāmhīm
All everything is mixed; all of all has become; / distributed in body — everything.
काये तें येथेंचि पाहावें । कैसें तें येथेंचि शोधावें ।
सूक्ष्माचीं चौदा नांवें । येथेंचि समजावी
kāye tem yethemci pāhāvem | kaisem tem yethemci śodhāvem |
sūkṣmācīm caudā nāmvem | yethemci samajāvī
What is here should be seen; how is here should be searched; / fourteen names of the subtle — should be understood here.
निर्गुण निर्विकारी येक । तें सर्वां ठाईं व्यापक ।
देह्यामधें तें निष्कळंक । आहे कीं नाहीं
nirguṇa nirvikārī yeka | tem sarvām ṭhāīm vyāpaka |
dehyāmadhem tem niṣkaḷamka | āhe kīm nāhīm
Nirguṇa, nirvikārī, one; that is pervading in every place; / in the body it is flawless — is it or not?
मूळमाया संकल्परूप । तें अंतःकर्णाचें स्वरूप ।
जड चेतवी चैतन्यरूप । तें हि शरीरीं आहे
mūḷamāyā samkalparūpa | tem amtaḥkarṇācem svarūpa |
jaḍa cetavī caitanyarūpa | tem hi śarīrīm āhe
Mūla-māyā is samkalpa-form; that is the svarūpa of antaḥkaraṇa; / kindles inert, caitanya-form — that too is in body.
समानगुण गुणसाम्य । सूक्ष्म विचार तो अगम्य ।
सूक्ष्म साधु जाणते प्रणम्य । तया समस्तांसी
samānaguṇa guṇasāmya | sūkṣma vicāra to agamya |
sūkṣma sādhu jāṇate praṇamya | tayā samastāmsī
Equal-guṇa, guṇa-sāmya; the subtle consideration is unfathomable; / subtle sādhus knowing — are to be prostrated to.
द्विधा भासतें शरीर । वामांग दक्षिणांग विचार ।
तोंचि अर्धनारीनटेश्वर । पिंडीं वोळखावा
dvidhā bhāsatem śarīra | vāmāmga dakṣiṇāmga vicāra |
tomci ardhanārīnaṭeśvara | pimḍīm voḷakhāvā
Body appears two-fold; left-side, right-side consideration; / that itself is Ardhanārī-Naṭeśvara — should be recognized in piṇḍa.
तोचि प्रकृतिपुरुष जाणिजे । शिवशक्ती वोळखिजे ।
शडगुणईश्वर बोलिजे । तया कर्दमासी
toci prakṛtipuruṣa jāṇije | śivaśaktī voḷakhije |
śaḍaguṇaīśvara bolije | tayā kardamāsī
That itself is prakṛti-puruṣa, know; should be recognized as Śiva-śakti; / should be called ṣaḍ-guṇa-īśvara — to that mire.
तयासीच म्हणिजे महत्तत्त्व । जेथें त्रिगुणाचें गूढत्व ।
अर्धमात्रा शुद्धसत्व । गुणक्षोभिणा
tayāsīca mhaṇije mahattattva | jethem triguṇācem gūḍhatva |
ardhamātrā śuddhasatva | guṇakṣobhiṇā
That itself is called mahat-tattva; where the subtlety of tri-guṇa; / ardha-mātrā is śuddha-sattva — guṇa-kṣobhiṇī.
त्रिगुणें चालतें शरीर । प्रतक्ष दिसतो विचार ।
मुळींच्या कर्दमाचें शरीर । ऐसें जाणावें
triguṇem cālatem śarīra | pratakṣa disato vicāra |
muḷīmcyā kardamācem śarīra | aisem jāṇāvem
Body moves by tri-guṇa; directly seen the consideration; / body of the root-mire — should be known so.
मन माया आणि जीव । हाहि दिसतो स्वभाव ।
चौदा नामांचा अभिप्राव । पिंडीं पाहावा
mana māyā āṇi jīva | hāhi disato svabhāva |
caudā nāmāmcā abhiprāva | pimḍīm pāhāvā
Manas, māyā, and jīva; this too appears as svabhāva; / the purport of fourteen names — should be seen in the piṇḍa.
पिंड पडतां अवघेंचि जातें । परंतु परब्रह्म राहातें ।
शाश्वत समजोन मग तें । दृढ धरावें
pimḍa paḍatām avaghemci jātem | paramtu parabrahma rāhātem |
śāśvata samajona maga tem | dṛḍha dharāvem
On body falling, all goes; but para-brahma remains; / understanding eternal, then that — should be held firmly.
