Abhanga 487
Tukaram offers a blessing to those whose hearts genuinely love God, recognizing them not by outward signs but by what fills their inner mind. He wishes them welfare, peace, and love that keeps growing ever richer. He bows to those whose true wealth is their good fortune of devotion, saying such a life deserves honor. Finally he says that among Hari's devoted servants is where every hope and longing finally finds its fulfillment, so there is no need to search anywhere else.

What it means
A short blessings-to-the-bhakta-jāti abhang. First of the Hari-dāsa-blessings cluster (487-490 with ॥ closing at 0490). Three claims:
-
आशीर्वाद तया जाती — आवडी चित्तीं देवाची — blessings to that jāti — āvaḍī of deva in citta. The opening-blessing: blessings to thatjāti(kind / type of person) — who hasāvaḍī(preference / love) ofdevaincitta. Recognition by inner-stance.
-
The blessing-content: letkalyāṇa(welfare) andkṣema(well-being) be theirs; letpremagrowāgaḷē(excellently). Welfare-and-prema-growth.
-
भक्तिभाग्यगांठी धन — त्या नमन जीवासी — bhakti-bhāgya-tied dhana — to that jīva, namō. The namō-recognition: thebhakti-bhāgya-gāṭha(the knot of bhakti-fortune) tied (their) dhana; to thatjīva—namō. Wealth-tied-to-bhakti-fortune deserves namō.
-
तुका म्हणे हरिचे दास — तेथें आस सकळ — Tuka says: Hari's dāsa — there, āśā of all. The closing-claim: Tuka says: atHari'sdāsa— there is the place ofāśā(hope / desire) of all. Only-the-Hari-dāsa is the place of all-asking. Compare 0459namō to Hari-dāsa, where all icchā fulfilled; sameHari-dāsa-as-fulfillment-placeclaim.

Where this applies

- Wish prema-growth specifically. Bhakti-blessing.
- Bow to bhakti-fortune wealth. Recognition.
- Hari-dāsa is the only place of āśā. Single-fulfillment-site.
