Tukārām's resolve: publicly-renounce-māyā as-Deva's-herald.
The verse
देवाच्या निरोपें पिटितों डांगोरा । लाजे नका थारा देऊं कोणी ॥१॥
मोडिलें या रांडे सुपंथ मारग । चालविलें जग यमपंथें ॥ध्रु.॥
परिचारीं केली आपुली च रूढी । पोटींची ते कुडी ठावी नाहीं ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे आणा राउळा धरून । फजित करून सोडूं मग ॥३॥
Literal translation
Devāñcyā niropa piṭitōm ḍāngōrā — by Deva's order, I beat the drum; lāje nakā thāra deūm kōṇī — don't anyone give shelter. Mōḍile yā rāṇḍe supamtha mārga — this rāṇḍa broke the good-path; chālavile jaga yama-pamthe — led jaga on yama-path. Parichārīm kelī āpulī cha rūḍhī — in dealings, made her own rules; pōṭīmñcī te kuḍī ṭhāvī nāhī — her inner-treachery not known. Tukā mhaṇe āṇā rāuḷā dharūna — Tukā says: bring her by-force to rāūḷa; phajita karūna sōḍūm maga — make phajitī then release.
