Abhanga 3561
The verse
आतां मी पतित ऐसा साच भावें । कळों अनुभवें आलें देवा ॥१॥
काय करावें तें रोकडें चि करीं । राहिली हे उरी नाहीं दोघां ॥ध्रु.॥
येर येरा समदृष्टी द्यावें या उत्तरा । यासी काय करा गोही आतां ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे मेलों सांगतसांगतां । तें चि आलें आतां कळों तुम्हां ॥३॥
Literal translation
Ātām mī patita aisā sācha bhāve — now I am patita such-in-true-bhāva; kaḷōm anubhave āle devā — it has come to your knowing by anubhava. Kāya karāve te rōkaḍe chi karīm — whatever to-be-done, do cash-down; rāhilī he urī nāhīm dōghām — no remainder is left between us-two. Yera yerā sama-drṣṭī dyāve yā uttarā — give sama-drṣṭi to each-other on this uttara; yāsī kāya karā gōhī ātām — what witnessing now. Tukā mhaṇe mēlōm sāngatasāngatām — Tukā says: I died telling-and-telling; te chi āle ātām kaḷō tumhām — that very has now come known to you.
What it means
A 3-verse confession-and-settlement: now-I-truly-am-patita, and Deva-has-known-it by-anubhava; settle-cash-down, no-remainder-between-us; we've-arrived-at sama-drṣṭi in-this-uttara, what witness-now needed; I-died telling-this-again-and-again — and it has finally registered with you.
For someone today
Sometimes the bhakta's task is simply to-finally-be-known-as-he-is. The exhausting repetition of self-disclosure ends in a settled-cash mutual-recognition.
