Avachita yā tumache pāyām — unexpectedly to your feet; Deva-rāyā pāvalōm — Deva-rāyā, I reached.
The verse
अवचित या तुमच्या पायां । देवराया पावलों ॥१॥
बरवें जालें देशाउर । आल्या दुर सारिखें ॥ध्रु.॥
राहोनियां जातों ठाया । आलियाची निशानी ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे चरणसेवा । जोडी हेवा लाधली ॥३॥
Literal translation
Avachita yā tumache pāyām — unexpectedly to your feet; Deva-rāyā pāvalōm — Deva-rāyā, I reached. Baravo jāle deśāura — good that the foreign land happened; ālyā dura sārikhem — (it was) like coming from afar. Rāhōniyām jātōm ṭhāyā — staying, I (then) go to (my) place; āliyāchī niśānī — the token of having come. Tukā mhaṇe charaṇa-sevā — Tukā says: foot-service; jōḍī hevā lādhalī — the prize of union has been attained.
What it means
A 3-verse compact darśana/pilgrimage text. Unexpectedly-reached-your-feet, Deva-rāyā; good-that-the-foreign-land happened (the journey); staying-then-returning-to-my-place — this-is-the-niśānī (mark) of-having-come; charaṇa-sevā — the prize of union. The poet treats the Pandharī (or sant-meeting) journey as the niśānī of having arrived.
