Abhanga 3768

Traveling in the company of a trustworthy protector who never neglects you means no other power can truly hold authority over your journey home.

When you feel uncertain about reaching your goal but trust a reliable source of support to carry you there

When you bow in complete trust to something greater than yourself rather than trying to manage everything alone

When outside pressures try to shake your confidence but you remain grounded in a stronger protection

The verse

आतां पाविजेल घरा । या दातारा संगती ॥१॥ पायावरि ठेवूं माथा । सर्वथा हा नुपेक्षी ॥ध्रु.॥ येथून तेथवरि आतां । नाहीं सत्ता आणिकांची ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे चक्रपाणी । शिरोमणी बळियांचा ॥३॥

Literal translation

Ātām pāvijela gharā — now I will reach home; yā dātārā samgatī — with this Dātāra's company. Pāyāvari ṭhevūm māthā — I place head on feet; sarvathā hā nupekṣī — by no means does he neglect. Yethūna tethavari ātām — from here to there now; nāhīm sattā āṇikāmchī — no authority of any other. Tukā mhaṇe Chakrapāṇī — Tukā says: Chakra-pāṇi; śirōmaṇī baḷiyāmchā — crest-jewel of the strong.

A 3-verse confidence-text. I-will-reach-home with-Dātāra's-company; head-on-feet — he-never-neglects; from-here-to-there no-other-authority; Chakrapāṇi — crest-jewel of-the-strong.

For someone today

Tukaram says he will surely reach home now, because he travels in the company of this generous giver, God himself. He bows his head down to God's feet in complete trust, certain that such a companion will never neglect him. From this point on, he says, no other power or authority has any real hold over him. He calls God the discus-bearing one, the crest-jewel among all who are strong, the greatest protector there is.

मराठी: तुकाराम म्हणतात की आता आपण नक्कीच घरी पोहोचू, कारण या दात्याच्या, स्वतः देवाच्या सोबतीने आपला प्रवास सुरू आहे. पूर्ण विश्वासाने ते देवाच्या चरणांवर आपले मस्तक ठेवतात, कारण असा सोबती कधीच उपेक्षा करत नाही याची त्यांना खात्री आहे. या क्षणापासून पुढे कोणत्याही दुसऱ्या सत्तेचा आपल्यावर खरा अधिकार उरत नाही असे ते सांगतात. ते देवाला चक्रधारी, बलवानांमधला शिरोमणी, सर्वात मोठा रक्षणकर्ता म्हणतात.
