Svapnīmche hem dhana hātīm nā padarīm — this dream-wealth, not in hand nor in fold; pratyakṣa kām Hari hōūm naye — why do you not become directly-visible, Hari?.
The verse
Literal translation
Svapnīmche hem dhana hātīm nā padarīm — this dream-wealth, not in hand nor in fold; pratyakṣa kām Hari hōūm naye — why do you not become directly-visible, Hari?. Ājuni kām karā chāḷavāchāḷavī — even now, why this toying?; sāvakāśem dyāvī satya bheṭī — give a true-meeting at leisure. Bōlōniyām pheḍā jīvīmchī kājaḷī — by speaking, wipe away the soot of jīva; pāhena kōmaḷīm charaṇāmbuje — I shall see the tender foot-lotus. Tukā mhaṇe mājhyā jīvīmchiyā jīvā — Tukā says: jīva of my jīva; sārūniyām ṭhevā paḍadā ātām — push aside the curtain now.
What it means
A 3-verse direct-vision petition. Dream-wealth is not real possession; become-pratyakṣa (visible-in-reality), Hari; end-the-toying-and-delays; give-real-meeting at-leisure; speak-and-wipe-the-soot-from-my-jīva; let-me-see-the-tender-foot-lotus; jīva-of-my-jīva — push-aside-the-curtain-now.
For someone today
Tukārām pleads: don't-give-me-dream-wealth (mere-feelings); push-the-curtain-aside and-show-yourself-directly.
