Tukaram says he has finally found a place close to God, and that place has changed everything about how he lives. He no longer has to stay up on guard, watchful and anxious, because near God that vigilance is simply built into the nature of the place itself. No thief can find shelter there, meaning nothing can sneak in and steal his peace of mind. His mind has finally come to rest. The lesson is that real security does not come from your own constant effort to protect yourself, it comes from staying close to the divine, where peace becomes natural rather than something you have to force.
The verse
ठाव तुम्हांपाशीं । जाला आतां हृषीकेशी ॥१॥
न लगे जागावें सतत । येथें स्वभावें हे नीत ॥ध्रु.॥
चोरट्यासी थारा । येथें कैंचा जी दातारा ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे मनें । आम्हां जालें समाधान ॥३॥
Literal translation
Ṭhāva tumhāmpāśīm — place near you; jālā ātām Hrṣīkeśī — has come now, Hrṣīkeśī. Na lage jāgāve satata — no need to stay awake continuously; yethe svabhāve he nīta — here, naturally is the nīti. Chōraṭyāsī thārā — for thieves, shelter; yethe kaiñchā jī dātārā — what (shelter) here, dātāra. Tukā mhaṇe mane — Tukā says: by mind; āmhām jāle samādhāna — samādhāna has come to us.
