Abhanga 4459
Simply saying God's name with joy, wherever you are and whatever you're doing, costs nothing and is open to everyone, and it can become as meaningful as deep meditation.
The verse
जयजय म्हणा राम । हातें टाळी वाचे नाम ॥१॥
आटाआटी नाहीं ज्यास । न वेचे मोल न पडे खांस ॥ध्रु.॥
आपण म्हणे आणिकां हातीं । यज्ञादिकीं नये ते गति ॥२॥
आसन भोजन करितां काम । ध्यानसमाधि म्हणतां राम ॥३॥
मंत्र जपा हा चि सार । वर्णा याती जयजयकार ॥४॥
म्हणतां राम म्हणे तुका । वेळोवेळां चुकों नका ॥५॥
Literal translation
Jaya-jaya-Rāma — hand-clap-mouth-Name. No-āṭā-āṭī — no-money-no-khāmsa. He-says-others-take — not-attainable-by-yajña. Sitting-eating-doing-work — saying-Rāma = dhyāna-samādhi. Mantra-japa-this-essence — varṇa-yāti-jaya-jaya-kāra. Saying-Rāma — Tukā: time-and-time-again-don't-miss.
What it means
A canonical 5-verse Rāma-Rāma simplicity + universal-Name-adhikāra text. Say jaya-jaya-Rāma — with clap of hand and Name on mouth. There is no struggle for it — no money spent, no hardship falls on you. He himself says, others around take the Name by hand — that state is not attainable by yajñas etc. While sitting, eating, doing work — saying Rāma becomes dhyāna-samādhi. The mantra-japa — this only is the essence — for any varṇa, any caste — victory-shout. Saying Rāma, Tukā says — time-and-time-again do not miss it. The universal-democratization: (a) no money — (b) no struggle — (c) while doing-anything (sitting/eating/working) — (d) any varṇa, any caste — (e) time-and-time-again. Pair with 2864 (clap-hands kīrtana), 2448 (nāma-sankīrtana-sōpē), 3037 (Name-Viṭhṭhalāchiyā), 3103 (bhakti-democratization-by-alternatives).

Tukārām says the simplest thing you can do is shout Rāma's name with joy, clapping your hands and saying it out loud, and that's genuinely enough. There's no struggle involved, it costs no money and demands no hardship, unlike elaborate rituals or sacrifices that others treat as the only real path. You can say the name while sitting, eating, or working, and in that ordinary moment it becomes the same as deep meditation. He insists this practice belongs to everyone, no matter their caste or background, so his advice is simple: keep saying it, again and again, and don't let the chance slip by.
