The verse
Literal translation
English: By living close, we have come to know things as they are — there is no other in Kanha's heart. People are pained by their own feelings — each according to his vāsanā. (Hari) is the seer of karma — watches the play and the wonder. He plays the game and does not fall out; the load goes where it belongs. Some fall out; some unravel the riddle. Tuka says: Gopāla, taking the morsel in hand, gives — to each, the share that matches their strength.

What it means
A deity-as-distributor abhang. Three claims: (1) no other in Kanha's heart — the deity has no favorites-vs-non-favorites category internally; (2) the pain people feel is from their own vāsanā, not from the deity's apportioning; (3) each gets according to capacity — देतो ज्यांचें बळ त्यांसि तैसा विभाग. The deity distributes by bal (capacity / strength), not by favoritism. The closing connects to 0145's kālā-circle image: the morsel-giving is structural, not personal-preferential. [T]
For someone today
This abhang corrects the am-I-favored-or-not anxiety. Tukaram's claim: no other exists in the deity's heart — there is no second-class in his attention. The pain felt is from one's own vāsanā — projection, comparison, expectation. The distribution is by capacity — what you can carry, you receive. The application: stop comparing your share to others'; each gets what they can carry. If your share feels small, the question is whether your capacity is small or whether you are measuring against irrelevant comparators.
Where this applies
- Wondering if you're secondary in deity's regard. No other in his heart.
- Comparing share to others' and feeling shortchanged. Each according to capacity.
- Pain felt; want to blame.
