English: Hari comes kākulatī — chosen for a moment.

Literal translation

What it means

A Hari-pleads-and-claims-old-attachment abhang. Four claims:

1. काकुलती येतो हरी — Hari comes pleading-with-grief. The reversal of the standard frame: the bhakta usually pleads; here, Hari pleads. Kākulatī — the pleading-tone, the supplicating-mode — is Hari's mode here. (Compare 220's master-runs-without-laziness; 223's deva runs close-behind.)

2. तुमची मज लागली सवे — ठायींचे नवे नव्हों गडी — your companionship has come on me — we are not new-comrades at this place. Hari claims long-attachment. The bhakta is not new; the attachment is established. Ṭhāyīmce, of-the-place — long-tenure here.

3. आणीक बोलाविती फार — बहु थोर नावडती — many others call (me) much; the great-ones don't favor (me). The invitation-asymmetry: many thōra (great-ones, high-status, important) call Hari — but Hari doesn't favor their company. (Compare 222: brahman plays among gopāls; 211: deity in play-mode with gopālas, not in Amarāvatī.)

4. भाविकें त्यांची आवडी मोठी — मिठी घाली जिवें — the bhāvika has great love — embrace with the jīva. The bhāvika-loves-greatly claim. Hari favors the bhāvika (faith-having one) over the thōra — and the bhāvika's response is miṭhī ghālī jīvēm — embrace with the jīva (life). The jīva-embrace — embracing-with-the-life-itself — is the bhāvika's mode. [T]

For someone today

This abhang names a long-attachment-known-by-the-deity register:

1. The deity may come pleading — recognize this register. Kākulatī yētō Harī. Don't always-assume-the-bhakta-pleads-and-the-deity-decides. There are moments when the deity pleads; recognize this when it happens.

2. Long-attachment is recognized by the deity. Tumchī maja lāgalī savē — ṭhāyīmce nayē navhōm gaḍī. If you have a long-attachment with the real-presence in your life, the deity recognizes it. You don't need to re-establish it each time.

3. The great-ones don't get favored. Bahu thōra nāvaḍatī. Status, prestige, scale-of-following — don't favor with this deity. The thōra (the great-by-status) get the invitation-call but not the heart.

4. Bhāvika-loves-greatly; embrace with the jīva. The bhāvika — the faith-having one — loves greatly; the miṭhī jīvēm (jīva-embrace) is the response-form. The jīva-embrace is not partial; it is whole-life embrace.

For today: when you have a long-attachment with the real-presence, trust that the deity recognizes it; don't compete with the great-ones; embrace with the jīva — not partially, with the whole-life.

मराठी: ही ओवी एक long-attachment-known-by-the-deity register नाव सांगते:

1. देव pleading-mode मध्ये येऊ शकतो — register ओळखा. काकुलती येतो हरी. Bhakta pleads, देव decides नेहमी-गृहीत धरू नका. देव pleads असे क्षण असतात; होतात तेव्हा ओळखा.

2. Long-attachment देव ओळखतो. तुमची मज लागली सवे — ठायींचे नवे नव्हों गडी. तुमच्या आयुष्यात real-presence सोबत long-attachment असेल — देव ओळखतो. प्रत्येक वेळी re-establish करायची गरज नाही.

3. थोर-ones favored होत नाहीत. बहु थोर नावडती. Status, prestige, scale-of-following — या देवासह favor मिळवत नाहीत. थोर (status-by-greatness) ला invitation-call मिळतो पण heart नाही.

4. Bhāvika मोठ्या प्रेमाने; jīva-ने मिठी. भाविक — faith-having one — मोठ्या प्रेमाने; मिठी जीवें (jīva-embrace) response-form. Jīva-embrace partial नाही; whole-life embrace.

आज: real-presence सोबत long-attachment असेल — देव ओळखतो विश्वास ठेवा; थोर-ones शी compete करू नका; jīva-ने embrace करा — partially नाही, whole-life ने.
