What it means
A short bhakta-as-village-bully-against-bhūtas abhang. Four claims:
-
आम्ही जालों गांवगुंड — अवघ्या पुंड भूतांसी — we have become gāva-guṇḍa — for all puṇḍa-bhūtas. The opening-claim: we (the bhakta-band) have become gāva-guṇḍa (village-bully / strong-arm); for all the puṇḍa-bhūtas (mighty-spirits / aggressive-ghosts). Bhakta-as-defender-against-spirit-attack*.
-
दुसरें तें खेळों आलें — एका बोले तो मियां — another came to play — what one says, that I. The self-claim: if another comes to khēḷō (play / contest); what one says (= what the deva says) — that I (am). I-am-the-deva's-mouthpiece.
-
अवघियांचा येऊं लाग — नेदूं अंग शिवाया — everyone's turn comes — won't let body be touched. The defense-claim: let everyone's turn come; we won't let anga (body) be touched. No one touches the bhakta-body in this stance.
-
तुका म्हणे खुंटूं नाद — जिंतूं वाद सर्तीनें — Tuka says: silence the nāda — win vāda by sartī. The closing-resolve: silence the nāda (noise / drumbeat / chant of the opposing-spirits); win the vāda (dispute) — by sartī (compulsion / forced-contest). Silence-and-victory-by-contest.

For someone today
This abhang names the bhakta-as-bully-of-bhūtas register:
-
Become a gāva-guṇḍa against puṇḍa-bhūtas*. Āmhī jālōm gāva-guṇḍa — puṇḍa-bhūtāmsī. The bhakta-band has the strength of a village-bully against aggressive-spirits. Don't be timid before spirit-affliction*.
-
You speak what the deva says. Ēkā bōlē tō miyā. The bhakta is the mouthpiece of the deva; what the deva says, that the bhakta says. Trust the words that come.
-
Won't let anga* be touched. Nēdūm anga śivāyā. In bhakta-stance, the body is protected from spirit-touch. Trust the protection*.
-
Silence the noise; win the dispute by sartī*. Khumṭūm nāda — jimtūm vāda sartīnē. Don't engage the spirit-noise; silence it; win the dispute by forcing-the-contest. Active-silencing wins*.
For today: recognize the bhakta-as-defender-against-spirits stance; speak what the deva speaks; the body is protected; silence the spirit-noise and win by forced-contest.
This abhang is short and combative: Tukaram in the spirit-fighter register. Compare the ḍānkā cluster's exorcism-frame; here the bhakta himself is the bully against the spirits.
Active-silencing wins*.
आज: Bhakta-as-defender-against-spirits stance ओळखा; Deva जे बोलतो ते बोला; Body protected; Spirit-noise silence आणि forced-contest ने win.
Short and combative: Tukaram च spirit-fighter register मध्ये. Ḍānkā cluster च exorcism-frame compare; इथे bhakta स्वतः spirits विरुद्ध bully.
