This abhang is Tukaram's life-stripped-and-final-cry-arrive register — one of the most-urgent petitions in the corpus. Compare 0762's-companion 0671 kāya-karitōm-yā-manā-Hṛṣīkēśī-cry (Tukyā-bandhu's mudra); same urgent-cry but here specifically life-gone-vain-and-viṣaya-stripped. The tōṇḍīm mātī (dust-in-the-mouth) is precise: the days are completely-finished, all-defeated, ash-in-the-mouth*.
