Abhanga 1028

Once real love and friendship with God fill the heart, fear and desperate need fall away, and you rest in the certainty that you will never be abandoned.

A then-the-belly-is-full-we-sat-in-the-row-of-the-fed-now-what-need-of-mukti-cry-made-running-to-help-coming-what-else-needed-where-is-the-time-for-singing-left-bliss-filled-everything-with-Dēva's-friendship-no-place-for-calamity-no-room-in-middle-all-obstruction-wind-blown-away-prema-entered-heart-won-the-assurance-where-would-Dēva-abandon-his-dāsa abhang. Won-the-bharavaṣā register. The rare full-bellied-after-the-meal-no-more-need-of-mukti victory abhang. Six claims:

1. पोट-धालें — मुक्ति-पांग-नाहीं. No-need-of-mukti-now-claim. Then thepōṭaisdhālē (full);(we) sat in the panktī (row of-those-being-fed);now what (need of) mukti-pānga (mukti-as-need)?(When the soul-belly is full of bhakti, mukti is no longer aneed.)

2. धांवा-धांवणें — सध्या-काय. Cry-made-help-coming-claim. Thedhāvā (cry) was made;now there'll be dhāvaṇē (running-to-help);what is needed at-the-moment?

3. गायन-काळ-नाहीं — आनंद-भरी. Bliss-filled-claim. Where now is thekāḷaforgāyana left?;ānandahas come into all (parts)bharī (filled-to-overflowing). (When ānanda overflows, even thetime for singing is full.)

4. Dēva-सख्य — विषम-ठाव-नाहीं. No-place-for-calamity-claim. With Dēva'ssakhya-tva (friendship), no place for viṣama (calamity, unevenness);what vāva (room) can remain in-the-middle?

5. बाधा-वाता-हात — प्रेम-हृदय. Obstruction-blown-away-claim. Then allbādhābecamevātā-hāta (wind-blown-away, scattered);prēmaentered thehrdaya.

6. Tuka: भरवसा-जिंतिलें — दास-मोकलित-नाहीं. Won-the-bharavaṣā-claim. Tuka says: we have won thebharavaṣā (assurance, certainty);where would Dēva forsake (his) dāsa?

1. Belly full; sat in row; no need of mukti now. No-mukti-need.

2. Cry made; help coming. Help-coming.

3. No time for singing left; bliss has filled all. Bliss-filled.

4. With Dēva's friendship, no place for calamity. Friendship-no-calamity.

5. All obstruction wind-blown-away; prema entered heart. Obstruction-blown.

6. Won the assurance; where would Dēva abandon his dāsa. Won-bharavaṣā.

For today: pōṭa dhālē, panktī, no mukti-pānga; dhāvā — dhāvaṇē; no kāḷa for gāyana, ānanda bharī; sakhya-tva — no viṣama; bādhā vātā-hāta, prēma hrdayāmta; bharavaṣā jimtilē, no dāsa-mōkalitō.

This abhang is Tukaram'swon-the-bharavaṣāregister — one of the rare full-bellied-victory statements. TheDēva kōṭhē dāsā mōkalitō(where would Dēva abandon his dāsa) is the precise won-bharavaṣā claim.
