या चि नांवें दोष । राहे अंतरीं किल्मिष ॥१॥ मना अंगीं पुण्य पाप । शुभ उत्तम संकल्प ॥ध्रु.॥ बिजाऐसीं फळें । उत्तम कां अमंगळें ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे चित्त । शुद्ध करावें हे नित ॥३॥
Literal translation
English: This very nāmā is dōṣa — when kilmiṣa stays in antara. In manā's anga, puṇya-pāpa — śubha-uttama samkalpa. According to bīja, fruits — uttama or amangaḷa. Tuka says: citta — should be made śuddha — nita.

The opening: yā chi nāmvēm dōṣa — rāhē antarīm kilmiṣa — this very nāma (= naming / identifying-act) — is dōṣa (fault); — (when) kilmiṣa (= defilement) — stays in the antara (interior). The naming-itself becomes fault — when the internal-defilement persists. (= the outer-name is just external-form; the internal-defilement is what makes the very-naming a fault. Compare 1404's jaṭā-rākha-viṭambanā — outer signs without inner — same theme.)
The interior-content: manā angīm puṇya pāpa — śubha uttama samkalpa — in the mind's body — puṇya-pāpa; — śubha-uttama samkalpa. Mind contains both pāpa and puṇya as seeds; — the samkalpa is what determines which seed is auspicious-and-best.
