मदें मातलें नागवें नाचे । अनुचित वाचे बडबडी ॥१॥ आतां शिकवावा कोणासी विचार । कर्म तें दुस्तर करवी धीट ॥ध्रु.॥ आलें अंगासी तें बळिवंत गाढें । काय वेड्यापुढें धर्मनीत ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे कळों येईंल तो भाव । अंगावरिल घाव उमटतां ॥३॥ ॥२॥

English: Drunk with mada — dances naked — speaks improper babble. Now to whom should one teach consideration — karma is hard, makes one bold. What comes to body is strong-fixed — what dharma-niti before a fool. Tuka says: that bhāva will come to knowing — when the blow surfaces on the body. ॥2॥

The hopelessness-of-teaching: ātām śikavāvā kōṇāsī vichāra — karma tē dustara karavī dhīṭa — now to whom should one teach consideration — karma is hard, makes one bold. Karma-makes-one-bold = karma-momentum gives-the-fool-his-bravado; you-can't-teach-him.
