भला म्हणे जन । परि नाहीं समाधान ॥१॥ माझें तळमळी चित्ती । अंतरलें दिसे हित ॥ध्रु.॥ कृपेचा आधार । नाहीं दंभ जाला भार ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे कृपे । अंतराय कोण्या पापें ॥३॥

English: People say (I'm) good — but no satisfaction. My chitta is restless — hita appears to have receded. No support of mercy — pride became a burden. Tuka says: to mercy — by what pāpa is the obstruction?
