Abhanga 2518
Meeting someone who has truly given their mind to Hari is rare good fortune, and that meeting itself can begin to break the hold of worldly life on you.
When you cross paths with a person whose devotion feels real and unshowy
When you notice your attachment to daily worries easing after being near a true devotee
When you wonder whether such meetings are ordinary luck or something earned
The verse
कोण पुण्य कोणा गांठी । ज्यासी ऐसियांची भेटी ॥१॥ जिहीं हरी धरिला मनीं । दिलें संवसारा पाणी ॥ध्रु.॥ कोण हा भाग्याचा । ऐसियांसी बोले वाचा ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे त्यांचे भेटी। होय संसारासी तुटी ॥३॥
Literal translation
Who has the puṇya, in whose hand — to meet such [saints]. Those who held Hari in mind — gave samsāra to water. Who is the lucky one — to speak with such. Tuka says: meeting them — samsāra breaks.
