Abhanga 3207
Tukārām says his only rest is at the feet of God — he bows again and again, prostrating fully, and this is the one thing he knows with his whole body, speech, and mind. But the verse does not end in private devotion. Tukārām offers himself as the lowest step for the lowliest people of the world, someone even they can stand on to rise. Real surrender, this verse suggests, does not make you superior — it makes you willing to place yourself beneath everyone else so they can climb up.

Where this applies
- When you need to remember that surrender to God is real rest, not defeat
- When you catch yourself feeling superior to people you consider beneath you
- When you have some standing or privilege and wonder how to use it for someone lower
- When you want to help the most overlooked person rise, even at your own expense
