Tukaram describes what real surrender feels like: the constant work of managing your own image and interests simply falls away. Once you've handed yourself over, you stop straining to make things happen and just watch for what comes, accepting it as it arrives. You no longer need to calculate what's proper or tally up your past merits before you act. Whatever service is asked of you, you do it, shaped by what pleases the one you serve rather than your own preferences.
The verse
Literal translation
Became-śaraṇāgata, lost-mīpaṇa. Watch-given-no-effort. No-uchita, no-samchita-needed. Tukā: sevā as-pleases-Deva.
What it means
A short 3-verse surrender-claim. Surrender lost-the-I-ness; only-watching-what-comes.
