Literal translation
No-durjana-left-in-brahmāṇḍa — except-māyabāpa. What-jikīra — no-bhaya-no-chinta-khamtī. Latched-onto-Viśvambhara-sāmbhāḷa — santas-lead-own-chālī. Tukā: my-pāḷaṇē-pōṣaṇē — Nārāyaṇa-with-sarvasva.
What it means
A 3-verse no-fear text. No wicked person is left for me anywhere in the cosmos — except the mother-father (i.e., everywhere I see is the Lord). What need to worry about this? — no fear, no anxiety in my mind. I have latched onto Viśvambhara's protection — the santas lead in their own way. My rearing and nourishing — Nārāyaṇa does with his whole self. The opening no-durjana-left-except-māyabāpa is a beautiful inversion: the world is so transformed that even the Lord is renamed the only-one (and named māyabāpa, parents, not durjana).
For someone today
Tukārām: no-durjana-left-in-the-cosmos-except-māyabāpa — Nārāyaṇa-does-my-rearing-with-his-whole-self.
Where this applies
- Tukārām's no-durjana-left-in-brahmāṇḍa-except-māyabāpa canonical no-fear
- Nārāyaṇa-does-pāḷaṇē-pōṣaṇē-with-sarvasva doctrine of total-care
