The verse
आम्हां हें चि काम । वाचे गाऊं तुझें नाम ॥१॥
आयुष्य मोलाची हे घडी । धरूं पायांची आवडी ॥ध्रु.॥
अमृताची खाणी । याचे ठायीं वेचूं वाणी ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे पांडुरंगा । माझ्या जिवाच्या जिवलगा ॥३॥
Literal translation
Āmhām he chi kāma — our only work; vāche gāūm tujhe nāma — sing your nāma with vāchā. Āyuṣya mōlāñcī he ghaḍī — each ghaḍī of āyuṣya is mōlāñcī (precious); dharūm pāyāñcī āvaḍī — hold pāya's āvaḍī. Amrtāñcī khāṇī — amrta-mine; yāñce ṭhāyīm vechūm vāṇī — spend vāṇī at this spot. Tukā mhaṇe Pāṇḍurangā — Tukā says: Pāṇḍurangā; mājhyā jivāñcyā jivalagā — life-friend of my life.
