Abhanga 4075
Tukaram loves everything connected to Pandharpur so completely that the place, the river, and God stop feeling separate to him; they are all one and the same love. He says the wish-fulfilling powers people search the world for are already right there in that devotion. When love reaches that kind of fullness, ordinary needs like hunger and thirst simply fade from your mind, not because you deny them but because you feel so satisfied already.
The verse
Literal translation
Love-Pandhari-Bhīmā-Chandrabhāgā-linga — all-Pāṇḍuranga. Kāmadhēnu-Kalpataru-Chintāmaṇi — fulfill-āvaḍī. Tukā: jīva-thōra-sukha — no-bhūka-tāna.
What it means
A 3-verse Paṇḍharī-equivalences text. I love Paṇḍharī, the Bhīmā river, Pāṇḍuranga — Chandrabhāgā, the linga, all are Pāṇḍuranga. Kāmadhēnu, Kalpataru, Chintāmaṇi — they all fulfill love's fullness. My soul has had such great joy — I don't remember any hunger or thirst. The threefold-equivalence: (a) Pandhari = Bhīmā = Chandrabhāgā = Pāṇḍuranga (place = river = god); (b) Pāṇḍuranga = Kāmadhēnu = Kalpataru = Chintāmaṇi (all wish-fulfillers).
