Tukaram says everything he has comes from the strength found at God's feet, and that closeness tastes to him like drinking nectar, nothing else compares. He also accepts that whatever a person experiences, whether joy, sorrow, pain, or illness, belongs to that person alone as their own portion of life. So rather than fighting to control every outcome, he simply places his whole treasure, his trust and his hopes, at God's feet and lets that be enough.
The verse
Literal translation
All-mine — your-feet's-baḷa. Drink-amrta — no-other. Whose-bhōga — his-bhōga — sukha-duḥkha-pīḍā-rōga. Tukā: at-your-feet — my-ṭhēvā.
What it means
A 3-verse at-feet text. All of our everything is the power of your feet. We drink amrta; we know nothing other. Whose enjoyment is his own — sukha-duḥkha, sickness-and-disease. O Deva — my savings is at your feet.
For someone today
Tukaram says everything he has comes from the strength found at God's feet, and that closeness tastes to him like drinking nectar, nothing else compares. He also accepts that whatever a person experiences, whether joy, sorrow, pain, or illness, belongs to that person alone as their own portion of life. So rather than fighting to control every outcome, he simply places his whole treasure, his trust and his hopes, at God's feet and lets that be enough.
Where this applies

- When you are trying to fix or take away someone else's suffering that is truly theirs to live through
- When you feel torn about how much to control outcomes versus trusting things to a higher care
- When you experience a moment of deep peace that feels better than any other pleasure you know
