Literal translation
Why-Puṇḍya-mātalāsi — made-Viṭhṭhal-stand. Vista-kṣīra-sāgara-vāsī — came-stood-Paṇḍharī. Seeing-bhakti-close — Deva-abandoned-Vaikuṇṭha. Tukā: baḷī — you-alone-on-bhū-maṇḍaḷa.
What it means
★ A 3-verse Puṇḍalīka-bhakti-power text. Why are you, Puṇḍya, so exuberant — you made Viṭhṭhal stand (here)? The expansive one, the milk-ocean-dweller has come and stood at Paṇḍharī. Seeing your bhakti so close, Deva abandoned Vaikuṇṭha. Tukā says: powerful — you alone, on the earth-circle. The exuberant address: Puṇḍya-mātalā — Puṇḍalīka was so-intoxicated-with-bhakti that he managed-to-make-the-Lord-stand-and-wait. Vista-kṣīra-sāgara-vāsī: the Lord-of-cosmic-ocean is now-here-at-Paṇḍharī. Baḷī (powerful) — you alone on bhū-maṇḍaḷa: Puṇḍalīka is the strongest-bhakta on-earth. Pair with 4283 (Puṇḍalīka-FOUNDATIONAL-praise), 4371 (Puṇḍalīka-pinned-bhūta).
