When patience runs out and desperate plans start forming, the wiser move is to stop insisting on your own solution and simply ask to be shown the way.
The verse
कोण उपाव करूं भेटावया । जाळावी हे काया ऐसें वाटे ॥१॥
सोडोनियां गांव जाऊं वनांतरा । रुकुमादेवीवरा पहावया ॥ध्रु.॥
करूं उपवास शोधूं हें शरीर । न धरवे धीर नारायणा ॥२॥
जाती आयुष्याचे दिवस हे चारी । मग केव्हां हरी भेटशील ॥३॥
तुका म्हणे कांहीं सांगा विचारोनि । विठो तुझे मनीं असेल तें ॥४॥
Literal translation
What upāva to meet? Burn this kāyā feels. Abandon village, go vanāntara to see Rakumādevī-vara. Do upavāsa, search this śarīra. Can't hold dhīra, Nārāyaṇa. 4 days of āyuṣya passing — when, Hari, will you meet? Tukā: tell something from-consideration, Viṭho, whatever in your mind.

A desperate-petition with-multiple-proposed-options. The bhakta-offers extreme-measures (burn-body, forest, fast) and-asks-the-Lord-to-specify.
