Finding God after a long search feels like recovering an old coin that was always yours but got lost because you stopped claiming it as your own, and now you hold on and refuse to look anywhere else.

Well — came — sañcita ṭhāyīm-ca — deha-bhāva replaced — brahma chāyā. Dhana doesn't deplete — avināśa ānanda-ghana — amūrta-mūrti Madhusūdana — sama-caraṇa saw. Ancient coin — long ṭhēvaṇē — lōpalē by parikhē-paṇa — ṭhāva-caḷaṇa escaped. Now — jīva sake — miṭhī — won't release. Tuka says: tired jaga-jeṭhī — no diṭhī dusarē.

For someone today
Tukaram describes the moment a long search finally pays off: the bargain has gone well, he has reached the place he always longed for, and his soul can finally rest. Seeing God removes all his weariness and, he says, ends the whole cycle of birth and death. He compares what he has found to an old coin that was his all along but got lost simply because he had stopped treating it as his own — and once he found it again, he would not let it go. This is a picture of relief after long effort, not sudden luck: the treasure was always there, waiting to be reclaimed.
