Abhanga 735

Sound the trumpet and celebrate without fear, because God walks ahead of you, leading rather than pushing from behind.

When sounding the kāhāḷā in sukha-celebration — and you have to recognize this register
When singing-dancing playfully in tāḷa-ghāgarī rhythm — and you accept this image
When no fear — deva comes ahead — and you receive this final assurance

For someone today

Tukaram pictures himself leading a joyful procession, sounding the long trumpet, calling out to everyone he meets, and dancing to the beat of cymbals and anklet bells, all without a trace of fear. His confidence does not come from his own courage but from the fact that God walks ahead of him, not behind pushing him forward. When you trust that God leads the way, celebration replaces anxiety, and you can sing and call out to others openly instead of holding back in worry.
