Tukaram describes surrender as a love-thread, a soft rope that Hari holds - wherever it pulls, he goes. He gives everything: his mind, his speech, his body, nothing held back. He recognizes that ultimate control belongs to God, not to him; what's left to him is honest, humble asking, the tone of someone pleading rather than commanding. And so he simply abides by whatever is willed for him, trusting the relationship rather than trying to steer it himself.
