Nothing in this world lasts, not even divine incarnations, so don't cling to worldly attachments that only weigh you down, since the saints have already reached God.
The verse
येथें नाहीं उरों आले अवतार । येर ते पामर जीव किती ॥१॥ विषयांचे झणी व्हाल लोलिंगत । चेवलिया अंत न लगे मज ॥ध्रु.॥ वाहोनियां भार कुंथसील ओंझे । नव्हे तें चि माझें थीता त्याग ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे कैसी नाहीं त्याची लाज । संतीं केशीराज साधियेला ॥३॥
Literal translation
Here — avatāra — not-urōm. Rest — pāmara-jīva — how-many. Viṣaya — jhaṇī — lōlingata. Cēvaliyā — anta — not — me. Bhāra — kunthasīla — ōmjhē. Not — mine — thītā tyāga. Tuka says: how — no — lāja — santa — Kēśī-rāja — sādhiyēlā.

विषय-लोलिंगत-झणी-नका — चेवलिया-अंत-मज-न-लगे — भार-वाहून-कुंथसील — थीता-त्याग. Don't-be-attached-and-steadfast-tyāga-claim. For someone today
Even divine incarnations don't stay forever in this world, so ordinary people certainly won't either; nothing here is permanent. Don't let yourself become stuck on worldly pleasures and possessions, because carrying that weight only makes you groan under the load. Tukaram asks pointedly: the saints have already reached God, so why would anyone still cling to lesser things without feeling any shame about it?
मराठी: या जगात देवाचे अवतारसुद्धा कायमचे राहत नाहीत, मग सामान्य माणसं तर नक्कीच राहणार नाहीत, इथे काहीच कायमस्वरूपी नाही. ऐहिक सुख आणि वस्तूंमध्ये फार गुंतून जाऊ नका, कारण तो भार वाहताना तुम्हीच त्याच्या ओझ्याखाली कण्हाल. तुकाराम स्पष्ट विचारतात, संतांनी तर देव आधीच गाठला आहे, मग कुणी अजूनही क्षुल्लक गोष्टींना चिकटून का राहावे, त्याची लाजही न बाळगता?
