When devotion becomes your full-time, whole-body occupation, with no idle moment and every sense engaged, it naturally overflows into waking other people up too.

दिनरजनीं हा चि धंदा । गोविंदाचे पवाडे ॥१॥ संकिल्पला देह देवा । सकळ हेवा तये ठायीं ॥ध्रु.॥ नाहीं अवसान घडी । सकळ जोडी इंद्रियां ॥२॥ कीतिऩ मुखें गर्जे तुका । करी लोकां सावध ॥३॥

For someone today
Tukaram describes a life where singing the praises of Govinda has become the actual daily work, not a hobby squeezed in around other business. He has given his whole body over to God, so that every desire he has now lives in that one place. There is no moment of idleness in this, every one of his senses is put to work together toward it. And it does not stay private: Tukaram says he roars out kirtana with his own mouth precisely to shake people awake and make them pay attention. The teaching is that devotion works best as your central, full-time occupation rather than an occasional add-on, and that real devotion naturally wants to wake others up too, not just settle you quietly.
