English: Candana-vāsa — nāka — none-pinches. Kanaka — nāvaḍē — none. Sākara-gōḍī — sakaḷa — same. Elders — children. Tuka says: citta śuddha — jana — nindītē — why.

This abhang is Tukaram's slander-as-mirror-of-my-own-impurity register — one of the most-precise inward-turning-of-blame statements. Compare 0830 sharp-anti-slanderer-curse (Tuka's mudra); same slander-context but here turned-inward (not their fault, mine — if I were pure, no one would blame). The tari kā nindītē jana maja (why do the jana blame me?) is the precise self-diagnostic-question*.
