Abhanga 927

When you feel overwhelmed by the ocean of daily struggles, you don't have to find safety entirely on your own. Tukaram says that simply holding the divine feet in his heart is the boat that carries him across, and no other happiness compares to it. All his personal marks and ambitions dissolved into that deep contentment, the way something sinks and disappears in a pool of nectar. In the end, Tukaram says he has finally grasped the vital secret, and now holds it firmly, well in hand.

When this is the boat across the bhava-ocean — and you have to recognize this register
When I'll hold Your feet in citta — what sukha compares? — and you accept this image
When my signals by mana are drowned in this rasa — and you allow this image
