The saints pointed to a simple image to anchor your devotion: Viṭṭhal standing with both feet planted evenly on the brick, steady and unmoving. Let that steadiness settle your own restless business, and make devotion the one task you truly finish. Tuka says this is how you cut off the endless cycle of future rounds shaped by your good and bad deeds.

भाग्यें ऐसी जाली जोडी । आतां घडी विसंभेना ॥१॥ विटेवरी समचरण । संतीं खुण सांगितली ॥ध्रु.॥ अवघें आतां काम सारूं । हा चि करूं कैवाड ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे खंडूं खेपा । पुढें पापापुण्याच्या ॥३॥

Bhāgya — jōḍī — ghaḍī — visambhēnā. Viṭa — sama-caraṇa — santa — khuṇa. Kāma — finish — kaivāḍa. Tuka says: khaṇḍūm — khēpā — pāpa-puṇya.
