Don't approach God with fear, cry out to him honestly and he comes without resistance, and that reaching him is far faster in the company of fellow devotees than alone.
The verse
विठो सांपडावया हातीं । ठावी जाली एक गती । न धरीं भय चित्तीं । बळ किती तयाचें ॥१॥ लागे आपण चि हातीं । किंव भाकावी काकुलती । करी मग चित्तीं । असेल तें तयाचें ॥ध्रु.॥ एकलिया भावबळें । कैं सांपडे तो काळें । वैष्णवांच्या मेळें। उभा ठाके हाकेसी ॥२॥ बांधा माझिया जीवासी । तुका म्हणे प्रेमपाशीं । न सोडीं तयासी । सर्वस्वासी उदार ॥३॥
Literal translation
Viṭhō — hātī — gati. Bhaya — none. Baḷa — His. Āpaṇa ci — hātī. Kīmva-kākulatī — citti — His. Bhāva-baḷa — kāḷē. Vaiṣṇava-mēḷa — ubhā — hāka. Tuka says: bind — jīvā — prema-pāśa — udāra.

For someone today
There is really only one way to catch hold of God, and it isn't through force, so don't carry fear in your heart, because he offers no resistance at all. He comes into your hands on his own the moment you cry out to him honestly, in true dependency, and then he does whatever is in his heart to do for you. Reaching him through solitary effort and willpower alone is rare and can take a long time, but in the company of fellow devotees he stands ready the instant you call. Tukaram's resolve is simple: tie your own life to him with the rope of love and never let go, because he is generous with everything he has to everyone who holds on.
