Abhanga 1078
All our blankets are piled together in one heap — mine is there too, mixed in with everyone else's. Show me the trail back to what's truly mine, and help untangle this confusion. Let me become one with you, with no separate identity of my own — I'll gladly accept whatever else comes, as long as it comes from you. Tuka says: whether small or great, let go of this stiff pride, God.

For someone today
All our blankets are piled together in one heap — mine is there too, mixed in with everyone else's. Show me the trail back to what's truly mine, and help untangle this confusion. Let me become one with you, with no separate identity of my own — I'll gladly accept whatever else comes, as long as it comes from you. Tuka says: whether small or great, let go of this stiff pride, God.
Where this applies
- When you feel lost or mixed up among everyone else's expectations and can't find what's truly yours
- When pride or stubbornness is keeping you from surrendering fully to something bigger than yourself
- When you're holding onto a separate identity instead of letting yourself belong completely
- When you're willing to accept whatever life brings as long as you trust it comes from a good source
