A friend, a sakhi, teases: you all make such a commotion, but Hari's heart doesn't soften just from noise. There's no need for shame or hesitation in devotion, Tukaram says, he is ready to sing this praise again and again. He isn't entangled in other names and forms; his devotion is as simple and natural as Krishna eating butter as a child. Chanting Rama's name, he says, is the true fruit of life, so don't let anything delay your worship of Hari.

कहे सखि तुम्हें करति सोर । हिरदा हरिका कठिन कठोर ॥१॥ नहिं क्रिया सरम कछु लाज । और सुनाउं बहुत हे भाज ॥२॥ और नामरूप नहिं गोवलिया । तुकाप्रभु माखन खाया ॥३॥ राम कहो जीवना फल सो ही । हरिभजनसुं विलंब न पाईं ॥ध्रु.॥
Literal translation
